This was an interesting podcast. I'm in the 'real grass' camp, but I don't know anything. Glad to hear an expert's take on the matter.

Cincinnati and UCF brough the wrong kind of cleats.
I was telling the wife about the cleats. The removable cleats worked better for me on grass. New cleats screwed in for a game is ideal. The bottom of the shoes is less flexible and it bites into the grass better.

I had never thought about why grass is better for injuries, but it makes sense that in grass the cleats breaking loose and ripping a chunk of grass out is a better alternative to cleats sticking in artificial turf and the ligaments tearing loose.

That was a fantastic Pod. Would really enjoy hearing from him again. Now I am curious about other ISU people working behind the scenes to make the University work. I would enjoy hearing from someone from Hilton or Reiman Gardens next. I bet the behind the scenes work there is fascinating. Keep up the good work Chris.
