Not gonna lay, but I’m pretty down on this team. 9-2 is a great season, but we have not played good football (looking at you offense). Would be amazing to get to 10 wins and a chance to win a championship, but I have a hard time seeing this team beating Kstate. The wildcats are not world beaters, but they are better than Texas Tech for example. If we were playing Tech tonight we would have lost to them again.

Positive note: we won a game that honestly, we deserved to lose. Props to the coaches for producing players that can shake off 3 hours of miscues and still get the dub.

Negative notes:

1- during the game, I feel like our coaching staff got outfoxed by a chess master. Yeah, I'm looking at you blocked punt, but there were other moments.

2- I am concerned that with history on the line, we bumbled and boggled key moments of the game, which turned a 3 score win into a game that was too close for comfort.

Just review, for future reference…

Dylan Barrett went out. DeylinnHasert is clearly out. Seems like Brendan Black may be dinged up, but is still playing.

So, IOL reserves would be down to James Neal, Jim Bonifas, walkons and true freshmen.

That’s how thin the margins. Almost like linebacker—which at least has people back.

I’ll hope Dylan is back soon…but won’t count on it.

A win is a win, but definitely seems like we need to work on clock management at the end of the game in regards to giving the opponent the ball back with too much time left. Cost us the game against Tech and could have cost us tonight (and maybe against UCF? I don't remember how much time was left when they got the ball). I get our red zone offense struggles to score touchdowns but Utah was clearly letting Hansen score there and we could have taken a knee at the 1.
Also this might get some hate but I really don't think Mouser is a good OC. Sure the passing game was good tonight but once again seems like we run every first down and either gain 1-3 yards or lose yards and are behind the sticks. And it's so obvious that running Jackson inside isn't working, anyone with a pulse can see he needs to get the ball in space (see his touchdown against against KU).
