Assuming no wild stuff happens, a win Saturday likely puts you in Jerry World and establishes Alamo as your likely bowl floor, with a winnable opportunity at earning a CFP berth and a potential home game in it.

So yeah, big day.

I don’t see how any Big 12 team is ranked high enough to get a home playoff game at this point

Me

And didn’t something similar happen the next year? Maybe I remember beating Colorado before going to Kansas?

Yep, the game in Lawrence was an all-timer.

ISU was in control, and there was some weird call and ISU let that change everything to turtle up and let it get weird the rest of the way.

Who was at 2004 Mizzou game?
Me. Freezing rain and drizzle kept a lot of fans away. Stadium was probably half full at best. I remember ISU missed a chip shot FG that would have won the game. I think we lost in OT, but I have repressed exactly how that went down.

Gonna be freezing and students on break. Will be a challenge to fill all the seats.
OK, so I’m a student. It’s Saturday morning and I’m shaking off the cobwebs from another night out with the home town friends. Hit it hard Wednesday and Friday night and did the family thing on Thursday. Starting to get bored at home. If I stay around til tomorrow my dad has a bunch of **** for me to do today. Night game so I have all day to get back to Ames. I’m going to the game.

Says the guy who went to ISU from ‘88 to ‘92 and never had a a home football game that remotely resembles this one.

Winner. And your dad really wants you to enjoy the game. He wishes he could go with you.

I was. Just unbelievably cold. Could have heard a pin drop after the missed FG. I went home and actually took a bath because my feet were so cold and it was painful to put them in room temp water.

We played Misery in 2004? Really? I have no memory of this... and I feel like I'm happier this way.

Well, yes and no. I mean, yes, of course it is, but also, no, its not because then the Big 12 title game is the biggest and if we win that, then the playoff game is the biggest, etc.

Don't the students have to be back in class Monday? Unless the dorms are closed i can't see why you wouldn't come back a day early.
