I kind of nailed this one. Ugh

Was Milan in on the final play. I don’t remember
No offense, but that describes a lot of basketball games. It's accurate like a fortune teller is accurate.

This school can literally just never win when a spotlight is on them. Should be a super fun week!
Lol I knew there would be dumb takes after this game. Thanks for the laugh.

You must have purposely forgotten the unc win 2 years ago, or houstin b12 championship...or countless others. Holy overreacting batman.

Man that hurts but encouraged by the way we played. That was a high level game. Too much forcing it into the posts to go 1 v 1 on Broome, Lipsey was a non-factor on offense (is he hurt?), Gilbert foul trouble, and poor defensive rebounding. The great part is we played them well and still feels like we have lots of growth left and a game like this will pay dividends later on.

I hope this was Jefferson's worst game of his career.
He started the game solid and then just started turning it over, missing layups and couldn’t rebound. I was wondering why we didn’t see a little more rotation with him obviously struggling

He wasn't. He wasn't on the floor during their 16-2 run or whatever either. We have been told all offseason that Milan stepped up his defensive game. Why is he not on the floor? I guess that's for the coaches to defend.

Umm how many times did someone hit a 3 on him. He has improved greatly defensively but those dudes were big time fast

The rebounding issues was a direct correlation to not guarding the ball. Way too easy penetration and our bigs had to slide over putting them out of position to rebound.

Why would they worn down? With our schedule that's a weird take

Conditioning.

Not used to playing that hard for that long.

A game like that is very different than any buy game or any practice.

The biggest issue is we are probably going to have to play IMO the best team In The tournament if we beat Dayton (assuming unc wins)

Don’t care leaving the island 1-2 after blowing an 18 point lead sending us to the championship side

Just sucks is all. We just had to many errors at the end
Yeah, UConn side of bracket now. Huge missed opportunity. That W woulda carried in March.

UCONN will make that a challenge.
That is true. FWIW, I have seen ISU beat UCONN in the NCAA Tournament when the Huskies were the defending National Champions. So, I am not too worried about the name on the jersey.

Either way. ISU has a really, really good team. Winning or losing in Maui is not going to change that. UConn, Auburn, ISU, UNC, etc. all HOPED to win the tournament. There can only be one.

At least we get an early tip-off tomorrow night. / sarcasm.

Let's Go State!

Disappointing loss but a good teaching experience. Early season games don’t mean as much compared to conference games. Give these guys time to bond with each other. They will be fine.

Part of me was hoping Curtis would have kept that ball at the end and made something happen after the play broke. I don’t feel like he’s gonna turn it over when he has it.

Lots of fixable stuff. Hate losing that way to Auburn, but there’s a lot of upside.
