How satisfied with the 3 games in Maui and why?

8 out of 10 for me. A poor 5 minute stretch away from being a 10 out of 10.

Offensively, we are already very, very good. Improvement area is to reduce those pesky 3-6 minute scoring droughts.

Defensively, okay with a lot of room for improvements. Our bigs looks slow when they are pushed out to the perimeter and I expect a lot of future teams will try to do what Dayton did to us. We greatly improved against Colorado but that was clearly a much worse team than Auburn and Dayton.

Overall, a very successful trip - especially consider it’s our first games against non-slappies and it was 3 in less than 48 hours. I’m more excited for this season post-Maui than I was pre-Maui.

9 out of 10 for me. I think it's becoming more clear everyday that Auburn is the best team in the country and should be ranked #1 next week, they will probably be #2 behind Kansas, but deserve to be #1. That game was honestly worthy of a national championship game, it had everything.

Went with 8. Blowing a big lead to Auburn and playing an opponent we'll see a lot this year brought it down a bit, but Auburn may be the best team in the country and we went toe-to-toe with them.

8/10 as well. Auburn loss stings, but that's a Final Four/NC caliber team. It won't hurt us one bit and showed we can match another truly elite team.

Dayton was better than I expected. They will be a tournament team, and they gave our guys a battle where we had to find a way to win. That will pay dividends.

CU isn't a bad team, and Boyle is a good coach. Blowing a team out like that is always a good feeling, and was glad to see we still brought it after two physically brutal and draining games.

The biggest takeaway for me is that our ceiling is significantly higher this year. Although we have been solid last couple of years, just didn’t feel we had top level talent. This year is different, we can match up and beat any team out there. We will have some losses, but this is going to be an enjoyable year, with high expectations, but with the potential and ability to meet them.

I was going to say 8/10 before I saw yours.

We showed we belonged with what might be the best team in the country right now. You play that game 10 times and we probably win 5. Especially good performance considering it was our first time playing anyone with a pulse this season while Auburn had the benefit of having played a high level game versus Houston before.

We came away with a win against currently kp#25 Dayton. They look like they'll be a dangerous matchup in March.

And then we blew out Colorado.

Reverse these games and it would have felt like a more properly seeded tournament (though our side was still more difficult than the other side)

Blowing a big lead during the first game probably moves me from a 9 down to an 8 (obviously if we had won the first game and won out it would be a 10)

I voted 7, really pleased with how we played against Auburn, but I'm not into moral victories either.

I think Dayton will be a Quad 1 win, Colorado looked really bad so that win will probably be about on par with that bad Illinois team we beat in 2019 in Maui.
I would have preferred to best Michigan St or UNC instead but it didn't work out that way.

I just watched the Clones come within a fingernail of being the best team coming put of the Maui Invitational Tournament. The total gutting of Colorado was a sight to be seen. The Buffalo's looked like they wanted no part of the bludgeoning that was to come in the 2nd half.

Pretty good, think we got better as it went. Still ton of stuff to work on, and there are some weaknesses. But everyone has a few.

Dayton is really really good, that’s going to be one of our better wins. Not too many teams better than them right now.

8 for me as well. The big guys are going to get better defensively with more reps, I don’t think we’ve seen better than a C game out of Tamin yet, Heise/Indrusaitis are still getting up to speed as well. All that and we should have beat Auburn, beat a good Dayton team and wrecked Colorado.

Lots to be excited about. National Champs is clearly the ceiling for this group, they’ve got it all. Especially if Tamin rounds back into form. It’s been easy for me to forget that he’s coming off shoulder surgery.

7/10. That first loss stung, but Auburn is really really good. Would have been a higher rating but we got a couple of uninspiring matchups after Auburn. Dayton is a good team but not a name brand. I could have done without playing Colorado though since we play them twice already. That isn’t the team’s fault.

They took care of business after the loss and showed us some pretty good glimpses into why they deserve the ranking they have.

Have to wonder why 2 top 5 teams were matched up in the first round? Was seeding not part of the matchup schedule?
