Our defense is playing great. South Carolina's defense is playing 10x greater.

If someone told me we would give up 35 points in the first half to USC I’d take it in a heartbeat. But to see the sloppy play, turnovers, and just horrendous shooting on the other end…I’d NEVER guess that would happen. Defensive effort hasn’t been bad, especially in the second quarter. But when your STARTERS made one shot and never scored for NINETEEN minutes…that’s unfathomable.

Not so sure. Getting slaughtered by USC is one thing. But, there isn’t much parity in women’s b-ball. Ranked teams shouldn’t be playing close games with UNI and Drake, even if they are in-state rivals.

There’s probably more parity than there’s been in years.

These. It make come off as "harsh" to some seasoned WBB fans, but this comes with the territory of being billed as a perennial top 10 and legit title contenders.

Losing to SC isn't unacceptable. Getting absolutely boatraced is. ISU doesn't belong on the floor with them right now. If Iowa State was picked middle to bottom of Big 12, this would be understandable.

This team is not as good as people thought. UNI loss, barely beating Drake at home, and now a complete disappearing act has proved it very early on.

Can they improve? Absolutely. But this team is not even playing like a top 25 (maybe even top 50) at this point.

Overreaction IMO. UNI and Drake are the top two teams in the MVC which is always a good conference. It’s not like we played UMKC. Many of us knew what type of intensity USC would likely throw at the sisters. They did and the ladies flinched. Writing them off because of these three games…against three likely tournament teams…is silly. Let alone some of these posts assuming Iowa is some elite team like USC.

Geesh. People…it’s one game. USC is out for blood after their last loss and we've got a young team still finding their way. it’s ugly and won’t get better, but it’s still just one game.

Unranked MVC teams still. You don't have to lose to UMKC to be a disappointment.

Season is far from over, but hardly an overreaction.

Are you defending UConn men for going 0-3 in Maui as #2 ranked team going in? If you start ranked in the top 10, it's up to the team to prove you belong there.

The ISU women don't belong. They'll have chances to prove it later though. Sure hope they do, but this team is less promising in person than they were on paper.
