Sorry, on replay I still think this went forward. Not by much, but a little but. But they called it backward on the field, and I can see why they said it's not "indisputable." Camera angles make this kind of thing tricky to be absolutely certain.

I thought it actually looked backwards. Holiday Inn Express moment, but I do some 3D digital sculpting as a job and it’s basically analyzing stuff like that.

Agree whatever they called couldn’t be changed and they took too long either way.

Hard pass, if we are going back to a 4th non-conf game then it needs to be in September. There's zero reason to be playing UNI in November while we are in the middle of a Big 12 race.

It’d never be UNI, it’d be some team with no Iowa kids who don’t care as much.

I think it might be worth a try for a year or two to see if it triggers sec change.

Humans aren’t smart enough to realize sec is the best conference but doesn’t automatically have the best schedules.

ASU deserves to lose if they don't wear these bad boys. Was such a shame when they went away from them

Great season. The difference this year from a 7 or 8 win year was a few things.
The offense being clutch in late game situations vs Iowa, (twice? vs)UCF, and even against Tech in a losing effort. Each time the offense needed a score late this year, they got it. I'd add the late drive vs KSU with a missed FG. The offense churned clock and yards as needed there.

Most games were fairly penalty free, and earlier in the year the turnovers from other teams were flowing like an endless river of honey. Even against Tech! Outside of the run defense being abhorrent at times, with the whole LB group being out for the season, and seemingly each week a DB as well.

I read a stat a few weeks back that of the 5 worst run defenses in P4 conferences, ISU was in the mix. The other 4 teams had like a combined 10 wins or something. Purdue, Oklahoma State, and some other bad teams.

I think ISU has 3 wins vs 8-4 teams, and the opportunity to take down a 10-2 squad. ASU has two 8-4 wins and a 10-2 vs BYU. Edge in resume to ASU for the committee should they win the B12CCG. ASU lost at Tech and at Cincy. Not horrible losses. I think ISU is out of the playoff with a loss, but maybe ASU still has a shot with a loss. No idea how strong BYU's schedule was though.

I disagree. The SEC for decades has scheduled wins vs bums in early-mid November. I see total upside here. Rest key players with some nagging injuries in a game you're a heavy favorite, OR work in some players returning from injury into limited roles vs directional state U to get the rust off. ISU had decent placed byes this year, but in the past, they've drawn really ****** byes way too early on. Make an extra bye in November with a bum opponent.

I’m not going to underestimate the ASU crowd. While not as diehard as a lot of the big 12, they have an enormous enrollment and this is the type of game a lot of the casuals will be in for.

They have a longer road trip from Tempe, but I’m sure they have a very strong Texas fan base as well.

If nothing else they desperately need to more clearly define what playing in a ccg is worth, winning it, losing it, or dodging it.

They should also point out lots/most contenders play 10 conference games and some chickens only play 8. While they’re at it, what about a team that only plays 3 road games and has the worst loss in the top 25?
As we all suspect, it's by design. By leaving it vague it gives them the flexibility they need to make sure only name teams make the play-offs.

The rich get richer, the poor still are poor, and the middle class works for the banks.

Has anyone confirmed we’re gonna be on the North Side? I have ASU ticket site selling tickets on the south side but I can’t see anything confirming we’re away/north side

Just a slightly different perspective. Vector analytics. It's not where it's pitched and where it goes out of bounds for the simple reason that the object pitched sideways from an object moving forward will create the impression that the ball was pitched forward. In reality it's still sideways. Now how much forward progress was being made as he pitched it. Not sure. But, in the end, I don't think the announcers had yet 'warmed up' their dialogue.

Ironically we were on ASU's campus in earlier this year in March. It's really nice and honestly if young bosco had to do it all over again it would be very tempting.

I agree. After a run in with them, I think our own fanbase sometimes miscalculates how many and rabid the ISU fans are that live down there too. I have zero doubts they will show out well and in droves.
