I don’t think that ASU would be in the Big12 CCG if they lost to UA. They’d need more chaos to happen in conference play first. But, once again, the very unbiased Heather Dinich was the one to promote this idea on the CFP selection show.

Something to think about when the committee starts spouting off about “eye test” or anything other than, you know, actual game results on the field:

I mean they can definitely use this info to help decide but after a while when it's the same core of teams every CFP, how much will viewership fall off? Does anyone not remember what happened to baseball when unlimited spending by a small amount of teams pretty much help destroy the sport? You need some type of parity to keep interest along all viewers.

I always bring up wrestling as an example. The national tournament has taken a hit because the way the Big10 has spent money and dominated the sport. Now, the conference tournaments are more fun than the national tournament for many conferences.

Let’s see … Arizona State is ranked 16. Iowa State is ranked 18.

If Iowa State gets to the CCG, that means Iowa State beat a ranked Kansas State team. And if Iowa State then beats Arizona State (or BYU, or Colorado), that’s yet another ranked win for the Cyclones.

And this doofus Straka has the gall to say Iowa State wouldn’t move above Tulane in this situation? What a maroon.

No, it’s stupider than that. They are saying if ASU loses to UA but then wins the CCG. But, if ASU loses to UA, there is no path for them to even get to the CCG. They start spouting that off on national TV without even doing the homework of seeing if this scenario is even possible.

I was going for the sarcasm in the original post. We’ve been told by our resident Spartan fan that she’s an unbiased super professional reporter that would never spin her reports to benefit the P2 conferences.

Oh, but they'll be quick to drop KSU out of the top 25 when we beat them - and move in someone like LSU or Florida in.

The Missouri Precedent would be for a mid-20s ranked team to stay put if they lose on the road to a higher-ranked team.

But, of course, the Missouri Precedent only applies to the SEC, because it just means more, naturally.

(Plus, it’d probably be Vandy or Oklahoma getting ranked just so they can prop up Bama’s schedule some more)

lol at Big ten “punishment” for Ohio State.

Planting a flag at mid field: 100k fine to program

Starting a brawl and pepper spraying players who didn’t start the brawl: 100k to program

No individual punishment.

Michigan’s collective should fund a law suit against the security who pepper sprayed them.

Nebraska and coach sound like total dbags per 2GNC show.

What’s the deal with them praying at midfield of visiting team before game? I mean that could be a whole thread.

Nebraska seems to be taking a beating in the portal so far, at least on the defensive side of the ball.

Edit to add: i suppose it makes sense after losing your DC but that was by far the better unit on the team.

Talk about a major win for the Buffalo players. Going from Buffalo, NY to the Bahamas in late December/Early January:

Disagree on Brennan. IDK if it'll work at Arizona for him or not but he did good at San Jose State.

And that stinks on Daniels. Was looking forward to him leaving
