Iowa State vs. Miami in Pop Tarts Bowl (Orlando)

I really want to be excited about this, but last year’s Liberty Bowl fiasco against Memphis is dampening it.
I don’t care who opts out for them. After yesterday, we need to beat the hell out of someone. We will see but an ass whooping would go a long way. This is a very very beatable opponent
If you're love bowl games, that's awesome. If you are excited about vacationing in Orlando and attend the game, that's awesome.
Just a friendly reminder though that Bowl games are basically scrimmages now. The games are basically a celebration of the outgoing team and a head start for next year's team. They're not some pointed culmination of our best effort.

We went to the Pinstripe in 2011 back when it was exciting for Iowa State to get a bowl. Besides the outcome, it was a fun trip - the weather was actually really nice, we got to see them practice the ball drop in Times Square - we stayed in New Jersey (not far from the Giants/Jets stadium) and there was a shuttle that took us right to the Port Authority bus station, so it was easy to get around.
One of my favorite memories was the day we were in Times Square for lunch and one of our group said we should go to McDonalds - I rather loudly insisted I hadn’t come to New York City to eat at McDonalds, so we ended up finding a neat deli a block or two away and it was great.
Getting out of Newark Airport was no fun, even at 5-something in the morning …
I get this stuff is cheesy but I’m going to dig this. Whoever is in charge of their marketing is a genius

Me too. But I just watched the post game presser. I could be wrong but I don’t think the players will want to lose again. I buy what they were saying and those WRs will want to get some good draft film.

But I have an unhealthy hatred of that mascot. Like, extreme. Of course, my BFF has sent me 1000 gifs and memes of the mascot already so that's not helping lol.

Agreed, but it will be interesting - as it will for every single non playoff bowl game - to see who does end up playing. I know what was said but as time goes on... does that change? IDK.
I think we will be ready to go though.
I’m not sure who Miami Thinks they are but there fans are appalled they have to play a school like Iowa State. Instead they insist they should be playing Bama Or Colorado.
