Appears Miami RB and maybe some others WILL play in the Game.

Martinez in awesome. I saw him play in person when he was @ Oregon State (vs. Washington in 2019) thinking: "How did the Big XII schools let him get away!?" Then, he caught that first class N.I.L. flight to Miami!

If you're love bowl games, that's awesome. If you are excited about vacationing in Orlando and attend the game, that's awesome.

Just a friendly reminder though that Bowl games are basically scrimmages now. The games are basically a celebration of the outgoing team and a head start for next year's team. They're not some pointed culmination of our best effort.
Iowa State is likely to be much more motivated in this game. I will be surprised to see Miami win.

I like the matchup, but What's the deal with us playing "nearly" (or actual) home games for the other team in bowl games?

Playing Memphis in Memphis (twice)
Playing Boise in Boise
Playing TCU in Houston (~4 hours away)
Playing Rutgers in Yankee Stadium (~2 hours away)
Playing Tulsa in Memphis (~5 hours away)
Playing Alabama in Shreveport (this is more of a stretch, ~ 6 hours away)
Playing Miami in Orlando (~ 4 hours away)

Any others?

(oh, and I believe 6 of those 7 were losses :( )

I'm not going but Orlando is more attractive of a destination than any of the Texas bowls even if it's a less "prestigious" bowl. I'm tired of the state of Texas lol. Hopefully we have a decent crowd.

Robins, Iowa
I like the match up. Hopefully isu will get 3 to 4 guys back by then. Couple LBers, a TE and a safety would be great.

Not to rain on any parades, and i'm sure plenty of posters have voiced this, but how are any of you getting excited about this game? I love Iowa State. I love college football. I'll watch and cheer hard for the Cyclones. But these games have never been less interesting or valued. No way I would make the trip to Orlando. Might as well save that cash for March trips that mean something.
