Not to rain on any parades, and i'm sure plenty of posters have voiced this, but how are any of you getting excited about this game? I love Iowa State. I love college football. I'll watch and cheer hard for the Cyclones. But these games have never been less interesting or valued. No way I would make the trip to Orlando. Might as well save that cash for March trips that mean something.

3. I grew up a huge fan of The U. In fact I would have walked on there instead of ISU, but since it is a private school I couldn't afford it.
4. I love bowl games. Having played in 2 I love them.

I won't be cheering for Miami don't worry, but I won't be cheering against them either.

Kind of like ASU (my stepdaughter graduated from there so they are my 2nd Big 12 team), I wasn't cheering for them but I wasn't cheering against them either.

And Notre Dame the independent plays a good share of their games in the ACC.

So IMO any Bowl games between top tier Big12 teams (like ISU) and ACC teams (like Miami) are important if the Big12 wants to be in the Power Conference discussion vs. limbo land with the MWC.

And that was to get into the ACC CCG and most likely a spot in the playoffs no matter what. So they should have been highly motivated for that.
