Man I'm so glad we never hired that guy.
I always thought the completely random "hates women" was killer funny, just the peas of resistance on that whole thing.
My take on Tang-
I worked for a guy once, he came in from outside and he was kinda weird dude, but fine. Quirky maybe, but a decent boss, good guy, and knew the business.
Then HE got a new boss, who didnt know our biz at all but was determined to "drive results". He put a ton of pressure on my boss and after some months he just cracked. He became angry and aggressive, dismissive and insulting. Just a total ahole. He got in the face of one of my direct reports and my guy damn near punched him! It was bad. Eventually he got a different job and left the company.
Anyway, i think thats whats happened w Tang. I think he was a great asst coach, but now all the pressure and focus on him has overwhelmed him. And so he has flipped out, got weird, and turned into an ahole.
If KState loses to Drake in Kansas City in a few days, which is entirely possible, their season will pretty much be shot before the conference schedule even begins, and KState fans will abandon ship.
Unfortunately for their fans, last April their AD (in his infinite wisdom) extended Tang's contract through the 30-31 season and gave him a $500,000 increase in base pay, which boggles the mind.
So KState would have to pay Tang around $25 million to go away. In other words KState is stuck unless they can find a reason to fire Tang with cause.
