Idiocracy at its finest. What a waste of resources.

Any packages for this game yet? As a season ticket holder, I am surprised I haven't seen anything yet.

I honestly don't know how their marketing department could be hitting any bigger of a home run. Right after the game they need to immediately start negotiating a raise or say they're hitting the portal.

The reality is that the bowl system is going to change a lot under the CFP, and the Pop Tarts Bowl might be the first to have realized it in time and made a play to be relevant when this gets to where it is going.
Yep. If it isn't going to matter a heck of a lot, then make it FUN! Both for fans and players alike. There's a thousand fun/lightweight things they can do, all of which would attract some media attention and spark a little joy.

Have to imagine other bowl sponsors are seeing this and taking notes. At least, I hope so.

A lot of these bowl committees take themselves WAAAAY too seriously. That ship sailed on the "bowl era" 25 years ago already, and they have been very slow to adapt as things went through the BCS and 4 team CFP eras, if not resistant altogether.

So I don't think I'd hold my breath.

But I really hope they do try and make it fun for the teams and viewers, that's what it's supposed to be.

Hey! Brand new here. I’m hoping the Pop Tarts Bowl makes it fun like the Mayo Bowl (I drove my older son down two years ago and it was a great experience)

Sadly my Alma mater didn’t make a bowl this year but my sons still want to see a bowl game and we decided to drive down to this one.
What’s your favorite pop tart?

For me, it's enjoyable to go back and look at how we ended up 10-2, ranked and playing Miami in a good bowl game. The WVU game was a real turning point (as was the Cy-Hawk). In the 3rd quarter we led 14-10 but WV was driving in our territory. Under no pressure, Greene threw a short pass that totally missed his TE and went right to Patton. Just a gift.

We then were about to go 3 and out, but out of nowhere, Eli Green caught two passes of 12 and then 36 yards. Wha?? Who?? Then our drive stalled at about the 10, Becht had to sail his pass out of the end zone. But wait, defensive holding!! And Neal Brown goes nuts arguing the ball was uncatchable. The announcers agree, but then are told that with holding, it doesn't matter where the pass went. We get a TD on the next play and we are 6-0 after a game I'm sure many of us expected a loss. Man, what a year we've had!!!

Yeah. I want more trophies. The bowls aren’t meaningless to seniors suiting up for the last time who want to bring home some hardware.
I have only been to 4 bowl games but 3 of the wins.

Up until Alamo I had a perfect winning record in bowls I attended. My SIL had a perfect losing record. We both went and her mojo won out.

With Ward being in the top three of every mock draft I’ve seen (along with the two CU kids) I would be shocked to see him in the Pop Tart bowl.
Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised to see him have to back out the week of due to a "tweaked hamstring" or something else that would be a non-issue for the draft scouts. All the while the back up having been practicing with the 1s for all of bowl prep practices.

I'm a little sick of losing. I'd like Campbell to coach to win rather than build character for next season.

Beau Goodwin and Brazina must be doing some sort of pop tarts taste test on instagram. Pretty funny.
FWIW, I have a 9 year old son who is LOCKED IN solely because it's the Pop Tart Bowl. So their marketing is definitely hitting the key demo here.

He is an Iowa State fan and sporty kid in general, but not like I was when I was his age. Kids have a lot of entertainment options compared to when we were kids, so his attention span when it comes to actually sitting down watching a game in its entirety is night and day different from my experience.

But he keeps bringing up the darn Pop Tart Bowl since he saw the logo and that Iowa State is in it, and those silly human Pop Tart mascots. When I told him the winner gets to eat the human Pop Tart mascot, he cleared his f****** schedule for this one. I assure you he will be on the edge of his seat for Iowa State in the Pop Tart Bowl.
