I'm a little sick of losing. I'd like Campbell to coach to win rather than build character for next season.
Damn- I don't remember being that annoying. Although you could probably hear my trombone over the rest of the band. Thanks for ruining my last game as a Cyclone you dirty SOB!!

It seems ridiculous but the bowl promoters know EXACTLY what they are doing. The best part for them is that it can't really be copied by other bowl committees.FWIW, I have a 9 year old son who is LOCKED IN solely because it's the Pop Tart Bowl. So their marketing is definitely hitting the key demo here.
He is an Iowa State fan and sporty kid in general, but not like I was when I was his age. Kids have a lot of entertainment options compared to when we were kids, so his attention span when it comes to actually sitting down watching a game in its entirety is night and day different from my experience.
But he keeps bringing up the darn Pop Tart Bowl since he saw the logo and that Iowa State is in it, and those silly human Pop Tart mascots. When I told him the winner gets to eat the human Pop Tart mascot, he cleared his f****** schedule for this one. I assure you he will be on the edge of his seat for Iowa State in the Pop Tart Bowl.
He says he is. Would surprise me, but maybe he only plays for a half or something. Projected high first round pickSo Cam Ward is actually playing?
Agree. I thought Mouser did a really good job for his first year. I think the players like him, he is open to suggestions and change, and he will get better with experience. This is just such an incredibly dumb take. Mouser as a first year OC did a fantastic job of being creative while also being balanced between pass and run. Scheelhaus left us in a bad spot leaving in mid February.
You're not playing along very well.Or just save some steps and throw them in the garbage.
My expectation - He'll play two series and look amazing while ISU plays soft base defense. Then the backup will come in and we'll take two series to adjust to the new quarterback. Miami has 28 points on the first four possessions. He says he is. Would surprise me, but maybe he only plays for a half or something. Projected high first round pick
Not saying fire him but it's not like he was amazing this year. Pretty average stat wise in our conference. There were long periods in games where the offense was stagnant and also settled for field goals too much. We had 5 games with 22 or fewer points. With most defenses that doesn't win very many games. Hopefully he gets better with more experience but we will see.Fire Mouser and get Navy’s OC.
I think he should start calling the plays where our O-Line blocks better. Why don't we see more of those plays? Not saying fire him but it's not like he was amazing this year. On this note - I haven't played o-line since I was a center in 7th grade could someone fill me in - aren't there things OLinemen can do to DLinemen to discourage them from getting their hands up? Can't you chuck them in the gut while they are extended reaching up? That can be pretty painful when you are stretching up. Are there other things? I think Rocco's lack of looking off receivers is part of it, but is there more to it? I know he was throwing a lot of sidearm balls this year...If you just look at stats, his of course look okay, but I thought Rocco had not a great year (I wouldn't call it a "bad" year), he missed a lot of very makeable throws particularly short throws and throws to the flats, missed a lot of reads, and he really needs to get the throwing-it-into-the-D-line business sorted out.
The offensive line was inconsistent, had some great games yes but also some downright bad games.
Those were our main issues on offense that my amateur eyes saw. Don't think either are a OC playcalling/scheming issues, not primarily at least.
Agreed. Looking off his receivers Rocco struggled with imo.On this note - I haven't played o-line since I was a center in 7th grade could someone fill me in - aren't there things OLinemen can do to DLinemen to discourage them from getting their hands up? Curt Bladt always said keep something in their crotch, there is not a man alive who can put his hands in the air when that is happening. That was decades ago.On this note - I haven't played o-line since I was a center in 7th grade could someone fill me in - aren't there things OLinemen can do to DLinemen to discourage them from getting their hands up?
