Maybe, but its a long ways away from shouting vile and hateful things. Not even in the same zip code.

Taunting is best when it's fun. The whole student section flopping for Marcus Smart, for example. That's a lot different than "f*** KU" or "no means no", which is still a big step above vile and hateful.

No means no was good, the yr Pierce(?) And Iowa came to town I think we might have chanted "your a rapist."
But I might be misremembering.

I was in the building and the rapist chants definitely happened. I get he deserved it, but still an ugly moment I didn't enjoy.

Listened to Fitz (KSU equivalent to Williams - only Williams is WAYYY better) say that the person who posted this crap is NOT a KSU fan. Fitz went on to challenge Hawkins for NOT addressing the game, but rather, something that was posted during/right after the game. He revealed that Hawkins is a prolific poster on social media - often doing his own ****-talking. He didn't understand why the first thing you would do after a game is to look online for what people are saying about you. After hearing that, I have less sympathy for Hawkins & any "pressure" he/their team might have to win.
I listen to Fitz pretty regularly. I like him.

I think he has done good work in recent years since Purdy and Hall walked into Manhattan and breezed to a win in 2021.

He has been sounding the alarm that ISU is different now ever since. The other KState talking heads are still dragging their feet and looking the other way on that reality, in particular.

He has been very impressed with Tang as a person, which I know most ISU fans will not be too receptive to. But he admits a lot of that is in comparison to how Weber treated the media.

But I think he has been a bit ahead of the curve compared to his peers on Tang's coaching abilities, too. It's an uphill battle. The after- taste from that initial kool-aid lingers very hard. I get wanting him to succeed, but even if they were winning, there's still a lot of there there that needs to be acknowledged. It's just not cool to keep pretending otherwise, especially when the wins aren't coming with the circus.

Hopefully it comes full circle since imo the brand programs/teams have lost their edge the last two seasons or so.

Maybe the big time donors at spots like GA will stop forking over so much since their teams really haven't been as dominant.

They're still good, but imo Georgia getting upset in the current state of the CFP would have been a much bigger shock in 2022 than if they get beat this year and the same goes for about any other top team.
IMO, we don't give enough credit to our people how little NIL has been a story at ISU. @brentblum and really everyone in a leadership role deserves more love for that.

Many of us might not be able to give any more money, but we can certainly at least give credit and appreciation where it is due.
