I don't care or need it for gambling, but the conference should absolutely mandate injury reports. There's a reason the NFL does.

Doesn’t he generally tell us if they are in, out, or questionable? You can’t really expect much more than that.

Not exactly sure.
You are being too logical. LOL.

They said even if the Big 12 made the coaches do that, then something close like CMC might quit or at very least would begrudgingly do it. It's plain their disdain is focused on him. I think it's jealousy of where ISU is compared to their beloved Iowa.
If they require that, I think CMC would label every player with some stupid stuff and list them as questionable. Lost one as constipated, another with a hang nail or athletes foot. Make it so big that it sucks to look at.

That episode with him on Firmly entrenched I think? Was so uncomfortable.
Yah that was a rough one and Palm was all over the place. He's an odd guy
Started out with some borderline homophobic/sexist comments toward Aiden
Kept calling Rocco "Rocco Mediate", no idea what that even means
Said Campbell should have been run out of town for the 2021 year
Then ended with " I was disappointed you didn't bring the new weather girl. I can't wait to meet the new weather girl"

What is that reason? I was under the impression that the NFL mandated these primarily for gambling-related reasons too. I'm sure they might pay lip service to saying it's about player safety or something.

That’s the difference between Pantherhawks and ISU fans. We would never get mad at our own guys not playing in a meme bowl. I wouldn’t have been mad if Rocco had sat out actually. He’s too important to next year with the WR group we’re losing.
You would orgasm so hard if he sat though. Imagine the rotter angles you could play with with that one.

Additionally, Miller or Condon claimed that CMC was attempting to gain an advantage by keeping the opt-outs a secret. An advantage, in my opinion, would be to let Miami know they were opting out days before the game so Miami would game plan without them and then have them show up and play.
Your scenario you just laid out and what actually happened are the same thing just going opposite ways. I saw Twitter people calling Porter and Highins bad teammates.

Campbell says guys are weekly decision and they end up not playing the rest of the season. That's happened for years. Brahmer was like that this year.

Rocco Mediate is a pro golfer. Maybe he was confused?

I don’t recall him ever saying that. Usually it’s something along the lines of “trending in the right direction”

And they can say whatever they want all week. In the Big 10 the availability report is only required 2 hours before kickoff. We generally know if someone is playing or not at that point with ISU anyway.

Fans were upset because they were going through warm-ups and then came out in street clothes right before the game. The communication made it sound like they decided to opt out in the locker room right before the game.
Of all the things they could have talked about and focused on, they spent time talking about THIS?

This is a f***ing nothing burger.

Sure but he's not truthful in discussing player status most of the time, CW mentions this often on Iowa Everywhere. "Coaches lie"

Ok, but I guess what I’m saying is what would an availability list do for that? He can say whatever he wants for the whole week, and then 2 hours before the game put the player as out.

If you aren’t required to do an NFL style injury report, you can never trust what a coach says. It’s not like they can (or want to) disclose injuries.

It’s not likely an NFL style injury report will ever be a thing in college the way it’s currently structured.

The honest take. They were VERY complimentary to ISU fans (and Iowa) for the numbers making the bowl trips. They don't hate CMC, they just don't like the non-disclosure/lying about injury stuff.
They said more bowl games need to be like the pop tart bowl and said it was one of the most entertaining bowl games.

The people that give ISU fans a bad name are usually the hypersensitive ISU fans that think if there isn't 100% effusive praise for Iowa State then the Cyclones are being slighted. This schtick is so tiresome.
This. If you think a host hates you, continue to disparage them constantly, and distort what they say, you will get your intended result of them hating you.

Of course that wasn't the focus. The thin skinned fans on this site assume that was the focus. There's been several posters on this site 'report' what they heard. Generally it doesn't foot with reality. The hyper sensitive folks think if it isn't 100% Cyclone praise the source is biased. Sounds like the political landscape and it's pathetic.
