Sounds like the Colin Cowherd philosophy. “Of course I’m rooting for the favorites, that’s who the fans want to see, sports is better when the Yankees/Cowboys/Crimson Tide dominate everything, nobody wants to watch a couple of scrappy underdogs try to win a championship they don’t deserve”
It’s a fine balance. Upsets are wonderful opening weekend of the tournament, but when final for is 3 “David’s” and the fourth isn’t really a classic “Goliath” the games become less compelling.

but the officials on the field never even threw a flag. They should have right away on that.
You're right. If they had thrown the flag, though, I'm guessing it still would have been overturn.

If its Texas, Penn state, Ohio state and Georgia, college football is over for the season for me. Likely over at this point regardless.
Looks like Ohio St is going to join Texas and Penn St so does it really matter if it is Georgia or Norte Dame in the last spot?

I know we’re a long way from the end (the way the Peach Bowl played out should teach me not to make assumptions early) but this is pretty bad for the “it’s an injustice that Oregon and Ohio State are playing in the quarterfinals! The seedlings are trash! This should be the championship game!”

(Don‘t mind me, I’ll probably end up dining on crow in a couple of hours …)

Behind you
Yup Netflix and documentary series on Wyatt Earrp
It's pretty solid. Some of the casting was off IMO, mainly for Ike Clanton (didn't look much like the real Ike at all) and Doc Holliday (seemed too baby-faced to play him IMO), but mostly was good. Learned some new things. Good watch.

Oregon doesn’t look like they deserve to be in the playoff. Seeding should be based on blue blood status.

CFP should be thanking ASU and Big 12 for not laying down like dogs and giving us compelling bowl matchups. 7 CFP blowouts in 7 games would be real bad for ESPN.

And tomorrow’s game will get lower ratings too, but that is for reasons entirely outside of football.

Edit: also not too many people going to stick around for that fabled Rose Bowl sunset
