Agreed. He doesn’t seem like an X‘s and O’s type coach that’s needed in the NFL. He’s the perfect college coach that thrives on team and emotion.

I don’t even know how he’d do in a top P2 college team when you have to deal with highly paid divas. He’d probably sit a $2M WR because he didn’t like his attitude and the booster that provided that $2M won’t be happy.
Thanks for one more reason to love him as the ISU coach!

The conflicting reports remind me that Ames isn’t for everyone but it’s a special place.

North Jersey is pretty suburban, and NE corridor rail service is sweet.

Not that I want him to, but the Jets (and Giants) don't play in NYC. They play in East Rutherford, NJ which is 10 miles west of Central Park. It is a completely different world. That part of NJ especially as you go west is very suburban even with farms in various places. The Jets practice facility is 30 miles west of MetLife Stadium.

This is what it looks like out there:
10 miles west is still in city,

The Jets practice facility is in Florham Park, NJ. Have a relative in Morris County, it is pretty suburban

I think the question we should all be asking isn't weather or not the NJ Jets practice area is suburban or not but rather would CMC's wife be the type of person for Real Housewives of New Jersey? These are the important questions to ask for these rumors

I heard they had him but NY brass told him he couldn't change their team colors to only black.

This is just so dumb. Obviously guys make that jump to the NFL at times but Matt leaving Ames for a dumpster fire organization would be next level moronic. Matt leaving for a Notre Dame type job? Of course that makes sense...the Jets? The Jags? He'd be a fool for even taking an interview at those places.

The best NFL guys have an X/O system (Shanahan/Reid/etc.)...Matt doesn't. CEO types get thumped in that league.

I wouldn't underestimate NIL fatigue and the constant nature of college football recruiting.
