I've been trying to figure out, is it just the head coach that gets that or are there entry level positions that get the benefit also? Some people pay good money for that.
EDIT: Asking for a friend, naturally.

In the end it's still New Jersey. There's a reason it's referred to as the arm pit of the east coast. Not that I want him to, but the Jets (and Giants) don't play in NYC. They play in East Rutherford, NJ which is 10 miles west of Central Park. It is a completely different world. That part of NJ especially as you go west is very suburban even with farms in various places. The Jets practice facility is 30 miles west of MetLife Stadium.
This is what it looks like out there:

And the Jets, where former Packer QB greats go to flounder in their later years.No. The Jets aren’t worthless. They provide great value for coaches of other teams to threaten players. “Step it up or I’ll send you to the Jets” has an impact. Plus, they provide an opportunity for young QBs to start out their career and excel elsewhere after the Jets have given up on them.
That answer is easy!I think the question we should all be asking isn't weather or not the NJ Jets practice area is suburban or not but rather would CMC's wife be the type of person for Real Housewives of New Jersey? These are the important questions to ask for these rumors
Except it's not. It's literally New Jersey and suburban.10 miles west is still in city,
One of the great surprises is how quickly you get into some nice forests and small towns when you start driving west from East Rutherford and gross Newark.Except it's not. It's literally New Jersey and suburban.
You may want to open a map and maybe learn something about the NY area before you say silly things like this.
Yeah, there's a reason they call it the garden state. It's no Montana, to be sure, but I'm pretty sure over half of the state is considered rural. One of the great surprises is how quickly you get into some nice forests and small towns when you start driving west from East Rutherford and gross Newark.
I don’t know if they are nice, but I thought the area about 30 min west of Newark was kind of cool.
One of the most interesting groups in the IS to me are the Ramapough. A tribe (disputed) that live in the mountains and are like 30 miles from NYC.Yeah, there's a reason they call it the garden state. It's no Montana, to be sure, but I'm pretty sure over half of the state is considered rural.
Same thing goes for New York. There are quite a few places upstate where a rural Iowa resident would feel right at home.
Can confirm, they are nice (I live 30 minutes west of Newark and about 20 minutes north of the jets practice facility, lol. For perspective, we have enough bears here that bear proof cans are required in our town)One of the great surprises is how quickly you get into some nice forests and small towns when you start driving west from East Rutherford and gross Newark.

IM trying to figure out how we can get Rodgers to end up on the Vikings next season so he and Favre have the exact same career. And the Jets, where former Packer QB greats go to flounder in their later years.
The Bears? You must really hate CMC. That place is a death sentence.Rather go the Bears or Panthers than the Jets....
I saw huge asparagus fields in France along the Rhine river during a day trip. A fascinating sight to me as i tried to imagine how they harvested it by hand or if they mechanically "clear cut" it.Most will find this odd but after several trips to the NYC Metro area on the Jersey side, I requested a private visit with a regular farmer who grew asparagus. Can confirm it’s the Garden State. Farmer had a flat 80 acres of half mile rows a couple feet apart of asparagus. Spotless weed free. Hand cut. Amount of individual labor involved was mind blowing. Anytime you get off the East Coast from Miami to Maine, you’ll find plenty of ag without the corn/soybean thing.

Just thought of this - maybe all this reporting of Matt being interested in the Jets and Jags job is false.
But...I can certainly see this as a power play for the percentage of dollars going to the football team vs the basketball and other programs. If one thing could drive him away it would be ISU's dedication to basketball. All of these schools are going to have to make decisions as to what percent goes to what programs. You will for sure see coaches pull power plays to get the percent they feel they deserve. This could be that play from Matt.
