No that’s higher than what they paid for him. NIL is crazy right now but nobody is going to pay the 27th best transfer QB that kind of money haha.

Damn where was he ranked 27th? Ouch

On3 has him as the #15 QB.

ESPN rated him #4QB and #19 overall player in the portal.

Those idiots thought they were getting this guy, not some D-II noodle-arm. He’ll be lucky to survive half the season. And I can imagine their Swamp NIL fund is tapped out. See you in Ames, pasta arms!

Gronowski was a legit NFL prospect. I had him graded as a 5th-7th rounder if he would have entered the draft. Not sure what he was thinking going to Iowa where his draft stock will likely fall.

I didn’t see any draft sites that had him there. He was likely facing a UDFA and that was before the combine where he wouldn’t really seem to be a guy who would run especially fast or dazzle with arm strength.

I saw a couple of mocks that had him being drafted, and I think he would have done fairly well in an all-star game and the combine. Guess we will never know now.

This guy is a huge upgrade over the other stiffs. He doesn't have to be great to be a great at Iowa. He just has to be better than Petras, McNamara, Sullivan, and that other fat guy they had last year.

Gronowski I think is an upgrade over their previous QBs since Stanley, but they’re losing their only productive player on offense and have zero pass catchers.

Edit:typo

No, that works as well.
