Leave at the end of the game, walk through the close lots where people in a hurry put their 5 min above the lives of the 100's of people walking, walk to the lot right outside sukup, get in car, drive away as if there was no traffic. Works every time and is only about 5 extra min of walking, well worth it, even on the cold nights. Home in Ankeny before postgame is over on the radio

I thought the Sukup lot was permit or is that the north side of the stadium by the Athletic Dept?

Yeah, I mean the lot by the south endzone. Definitely not permit. The lot on the north side by the jacobsen building i do believe is permit this year but there's also never been anyone there checking anything. But it has similar backups when getting out.

Waiting for @NoCreativity to provide us with his game plan on the best traffic flow concepts when leaving Hilton. He seems to know everything about everything. He’s probably getting with ISU, DOT, and the City of Ames to discuss this and will report back on CF with the conclusions he’s drawn up.

Lol, you got me. I'll solve traffic flow right after I finish designing the space program in my backyard. Maybe I'll use my world-renowned traffic engineering degree from the University of Couch Sitting.

You would think it would be as simple as making the parking lots into 4 quadrants.

Q1 - can go North or West
Q2 - N or E
Q3 - S or E
Q4 - S or W

That's basically step 1.

Step 2 is making sure people don't go against the natural outflow.

When I had season tix, I had parking in D4. Typically took about 5 minutes to walk there, and 5 minutes from car to University- pull out and turn left to University. Easy-peasy. What killed things was 20 people from the west commuter lot side turning east as well, and then blocking up traffic trying to get out of the the entirety of the east side lots. That should have been BANNED! As well as the opposite, east lot traffic trying to go west.

This is the best solution, it just requires an extra 5-10 minutes of walking in 0-degree wind chill at times.
