Their last "measurable snowfall" was in 2009. 0.1".

Official record snowfall was 2.7" in 1963. Safe to say that has been shattered. Looks like had "unofficial" reports of 8-10" back in 1895.

Definitely a once in a lifetime event for them. Probably no way to clear themselves out of it until it melts. Luckily it looks like they're back to warm temperatures after tomorrow.

We're going to New Orleans a week from tomorrow. It's supposed be in the mid 60's with overnight lows in the 50's. Will be interesting to hear from the locals how people reacted.

Yes, I have watched KWWL for decades and will now probably switch to KCRG. What a stupid, shortsighted decision. Nothing against KWWL, I know it was the corporate holding company.
In a breaking news, severe weather situation, no one is going to bother tuning to kwwl any more. They just ceded the territory.

I have to say I find my kids' 2 hour delay comical. Thank god we got it from -11 to -5. If it's too cold at 7:00 AM to be outside (which it was), it's too cold to be out at 9:00 AM.
Might have been busses. Delay and then if you can't get them going, cancel. If they do start, you have school.
