They really aren’t. 0-6 in quad 1 games is not a resume that will get you in. NET in the 60s

He's almost as unlikeable as Jorbo and I never dreamed anyone could approach that level. He's #1 all time when it comes to cringe factor though.
Iowa could beat the rest of the quad 2s they have left on the schedule with 20 wins and not get in. They need a couple good signature Q1 wins. Probably not happening this season
They've got Purdue, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan State (all currently in the top 25) at home still. As bad as EIU sucks, I gotta think they get hot in one of those games and get that elusive Quad 1 win, unfortunately.
To get to 20, Iowa would have to sweep at home (not happening) and win 2 on the road (not happening). I seriously doubt Iowa wins 3 more to finish above .500 at 16-15.
There is a certain vibe to this I can appreciate. It's like immersing yourself in schadenfreude. That said no ******* way for me. You would have to pay me to do it.

A bigger problem (for us) than them winning barely enough games to justify keeping him is that the arena is now empty every game. That's the part that will get him fired.
this is exactly how Iowa works. back against the wall, nobody believes in us, etc. I would not be shocked if they win most of their garbage games remaining, and pick off 2 of the 4 Q1's.
best case with a lot help and playing well, they are a 10-12 seed.
Realistically, they are going to be a lower seed in the NIT
NIT and empty arena will get real uncomfortable for Fran. although watching him, i don't feel like he cares. maybe its because his kids are not on the team anymore?
