I dunno, we need a better offensive strategy. It seems like we don't even run plays and it leads to sloppy turnovers. That will hurt us against better opponents. But even so, we still scored 76 points today in a game where the offense was not great. That is just insane. This team is tough as nails.
Yeah, huge credit to the team and staff for the adjustments in the second half, particularly the last 10 minutes. They just gotta figure out ways to get the ball moving (and not sticking) in the first halves of these road games.

A lot of things can be true at once. I do think other teams have scouted us well and are giving us their "best shot". But objectively, we're just not playing well for huge chunks of these road games (and that includes nice wins @ Iowa, Colorado, and Tech - and of course today). Certainly no team is going to be perfect or even play 'great' for an entire game, but we're struggling to put halves together. Stretches where the offense looks stagnant and stretches where the defense looks lazy. Is all of this fair criticism? I mean, we have literally ONLY 2 losses on the year, so maybe not? But my expectations are high. I firmly believe our ceiling is really high. In watching a lot of CBB lately, my uneducated eye test tells me that other Teams like Auburn, Houston, and Duke are not having as long of stretches where they are playing closer to their floor vs. their ceiling.

So in summary, these guys (and this staff) deserve a TON of credit for these road wins, as they are never easy. It is always awesome to win, and I couldn't be more thrilled today. And they deserve a ton of credit for the toughness they are showing (outside of literally just 2 games, well really just 1 as Auburn was a tip in game) in the last 5 minutes. And in addition to that credit they deserve, I believe there are some very objectively real "issues" that they have to correct if they are to make a run at a regular season title. As a fan, I am nervous if these issues don't get fixed, we're going to struggle to win @ AZ, KU, and Houston.

I pretty much never call out refs, but these guys ******* suck. FAR from the reason we are down, but plays a part for sure today.
I'm not saying these refs are good but if we had them at the WV game we would have won. They were at least calling the grabbing and hacking that Ariz St was doing. We only shot 7 FTs at WV and we're a team that drives to the basket.

Hey man. I'm thrilled we won, and convincingly at a glance as well as on paper.

So no harm no foul.

I also spent the entire pregame warning ppl that Arizona State is legit the 7th best team at worst in this conference, and a real threat to make the tournament. A legit Q1 road opponent.

So yes, we ended up where we should be, and more importantly where we need to be.

So anyone calling me a negative nancy is pretty cool. Remember to never voice any doubt or frustration when your top 5 team plays prolonged repeated stretches below a B- level. It's so very negative of you.

If I have to pick one, I’d rather see the game officiated like it was today vs. like it was at WVU.

Any road win is good. Anyone remember ISU under Johnny Orr? We never had chance on the road.

Not just any this is a harder road game than most expected.

But remember the lickleiter years? Iowa should be grateful for Fran.

Kinda the same thing.

I'm not saying we need to compete at this level every year or even ever few years. But when you're lucky enough to get on the green with a generationally fortunate assembly of young men at the exact right time, you need to finish this ONE HOLE under par, my fellow Cyclones.

Have a little perspective and a little pride.

Arizona St is terrible. They haven't even been competitive in 5 of their Big 12 losses so far. I don't pay attention to them so maybe injuries played a part.

That being said, every road game is going to be a dogfight and as long as we stay ranked this high we'll be everyone's Super Bowl.

That's fair. It's also fair to think we need to play closer to our capability more consistently to survive that challenge at or very near the top.

Me personally? I prefer "at" just this one time.
