As someone who doesn’t see the team getting out of this rut any time soon, doesn’t the spread in this game kind of stink? still 2.5 in some places, that is begging people to take Kansas. I guess Vegas probably sees Kansas winning by 4+ and wants it bet up, but I thought it would open at 4 or more—I think people still would’ve come in heavy on Kansas. Maybe I’m just over reading tea leaves in hopes that ISU can snap out of it…

Your average home court advantage normally gives you 3-4 points. At Phog, it's probably more like 6-7. So you figure on a neutral floor they have Iowa State being 4-5 points better, which I think is probably right based on our last matchup.

I see. Well, I guess I’ll cope knowing ISU would still be favored against some good teams on a neutral… don’t see them being able to score enough tonight. hope I’m wrong and they play 2021-2023 Otz ball

-2.5 KU is probably a pretty good line. The boys will need to come out nasty and then it sort of relies on how the zebras are calling the game. If they are going to let us play we will win.

Kansas has the reputation of being soft, our reputation is the exact opposite. We're going to need it in this environment today. Kansas is 37-0 at home on Big Monday, that ends tonight.
That 37-0 favors ISU since this KU team is doing a great job of eliminating all those streaks.

FKU.

Tend to agree with the others saying "just shoot the ball". Found myself saying that a lot lately watching the games. Don't make the extra dangerous passes, don't drive into the trees and crowds of three dudes, don't leave open space to run into a tougher/more contested shot...spot up and shoot the ball, even if it's not the highest percentage shot. Get shots off instead of turnovers. I'll take a missed shot every day over a turnover. Good things can still come from a missed shot, only bad things come from turnovers.

I agree, but it's not like we're getting a ton of wide open looks. Jones is having to work a lot harder to find open shots, and he's compounding the issue by taking bad shots. Watson and Jefferson have been wide open lately with mixed results. I'm encouraged with Jefferson's outside stroke in the last 3 games. Gilbert doesn't look to spot up. Lipsey is really the only one making teams pay for sagging, and I think a lot of teams are content with him taking them.

But I'm with you 100% on not making the extra dangerous passes. It feels like our confidence veered into arrogance territory the past few weeks, and we're turning it over trying to make low percentage passes. We absolutely cannot survive 18 turnovers! Needs to be closer to 10.

You need to win by 10+ to actually win in AFH. Not sure this team has it in them right now, but we'll see. No better chance to rebound than now.

I think they can. This could be one of those "Come to TJsus" moments where everyone flies out with their hair on fire and they lock down the brutal rockfight defense.

Lots of talk about our bench guys, but I think our starter are the key. Tamin has been good recently, but we need Gilbert, Jones, Jefferson to return to form. Those guys are studs and we need them to play that way.

Go Cyclones!!!

Otz ball wouldn't correlate with scoring during this time. He did great with making things happen somehow with the players available but it had to rest on the defense being able to muck things up.

I would like to see more of that tonight.
