Effort was better most of the game Officials let them get raped, for some reason we don't rape back, start missing shots, get tight, lose game.

We played tight and slow from the beginning, did good things, didn't start driving crazily into the lane until second half. Could not make a bucket from anywhere

Officials were what we expect at kansas and we were not good enough to overcome it. Notice I didn't say the officials lost this game for us. But they sucked anyway. **** off apologists!

We need to get the swagger back. We have none and that is where the lid on the bucket came from. We have very winnable games coming up. Straighten up and get them.

Does ISU purposefully give up dribble penetration into the lane?

It looks like that’s part of the plan but doesn’t work very well when the help comes and there’s an easy pass to a big guy who can make an open 6-7 footer (unlike our bigs).

And the limits of the skill sets on offense…wow. I didn’t see the WV or KSU games so this is my first look at bad ISU.

The Steve Prohm 2-22 season made me numb for moments like this. We’re onto TCU. I’d rather have a February slump than a March one.
If we don't remove our heads from our asses and lose Saturday TJ is going to need a miracle to keep the train on the tracks.

Excellent, even keeled analysis. Spot on.

I’m gonna shoot for a little optimism here.

This is a tough stretch of games. At Morgantown. Arizona road trip. A talented K State team that was always going to start figuring it out and at KU coming off two tough loses. The K State whooping sticks in your craw but the others are understandable. All this comes at a time where we lose Milan and realize the guys we have to replace him aren’t going to work. It’s a hard thing to figure out on the fly when you lose your best shooter and you have no bench offensively. Couple that with a league of good coaches that’ll figure you out quick and here we are.

Get Milan back and spend the next 3 weeks getting right. Get to the tournament where there’s less of a scout and teams haven’t seen our defensive intensity/rotations. We still have a run in us.

Oh and also blast the high handoff into the sun. It doesn’t work with our current bigs.

How in the hell do we only have 1 fg attempt for the game from our bench? Not going to score if you don’t shoot.

It’s really going to suck to look back at this season and wonder what might have been if Caleb Love hadn’t hit that shot. We’ve completely played ourselves out of a 1 seed spot and we’ve probably dropped the 2 line now too. ****.

Just like I have my opinion of what’s needed in the women’s team, my opinion is lack of ball movement and easy shots are KILLING this team. Not sure why this is so hard. You see KU make 2-3 extra passes and have dudes shooting set shots?

You see KU with a not deep but still very talented team with a guard like Mayo?

I post a lot of dumb stuff. But that wasn't it. We haven't been right since WV. Milan out isn't everything.
Agree. Many said/hoped WVA was just one of those clunkers that you flush and move on. But it was a terrible loss - both the offense and how we wilted down the stretch - and critically - it showed the world (including our own team) what our “floor” is. Just having the type of outing become “something that is within our range of outcomes” was a major shock. Credit the team for bouncing back against UCF and ASU, and should have gotten AZ too. The Love shot though was an epic backbreaker. Might be one of the biggest regular season backbreakers we’ve had in our program history.

Certainly plenty of time to recover. Lot of season left! But no doubt some major damage has been done.
