We need some cold, snowy weather these next few weekends so I can afford to go to a basketball game (ISU) or two.

No snow here in Twin Cities.

Wind blew like crazy yesterday AM and a big pile of oak leaves blew from neighbors tree up against my garage door. So, raked 1/2 bag full of leaves in January in Minnesota. Weird.

#1 thing I've noticed in the last week.
The extra daylight is really noticable when the skies are cloudy for a week then we get an clear day or two after that. 2.5 minutes a day times 7. Not starting supper preparation in the dark is what we notice most.

On KCCI they are at 49 schools either closed, mostly in Southern Iowa and schools dismissing early. I would guess that number will grow to include everyone from Ames South by noon.

My kids school in central Iowa is getting out 2 hours early, but the weather apps I use keep showing a very, very small percentage chance for precipitation.
