I just don’t get iowa. They just find ways to stay in or win these games . Not sure if it’s the sleepy environment or maybe it’s an Iowa goes 100% and other teams sleepwalk. But given the talent they have and the fact they lost their only physical post player just amazes me that they can play in these games..

Remember when Iowa media consistently said Payton Sandfort was an NBA player? Lol.
He should be. He has regressed so much. NBA prep gave him a list of holes in his game and in trying to get better off the bounce, be more physical on D, quicken his shot even more, he has completely lost the rhythm of his shot.

He’s maybe the 4th best player on their team right now. Maybe.

I'm no expert but I don't know what has ever made Sandfort an NBA target.

Everyone I've ever known who has any connection to talent evaluation in high-level basketball has said you have to do two things at a pro-level to make it in the NBA, e.g. corner threes and on-ball defense, rim protection and drawing fouls, whatever.

What is Sandfort's second thing? He's a good free throw shooter but he doesn't get to the line much so who cares.

I don’t even see Sandfort being successful in Dleague. He has overseas written all over him

Height and shooting a highly efficient percent on 3s. But that percentage has dipped big time in the last year.

I don’t think any scout thinks he’s an all star, but most second rounders aren’t.

Walking around holding his arms out like he's 15 and just got done lifting weights.
