We need to figure out better systems for officiating. The game, even at the women's level, is too fast for the officials, the natural rotation that the officials use to rotate their positions causes inconsistencies from end to end and one night's officials will call completely differently than aonther night's. We need to get to the point where there are more stationary specialized eyes concentrated on certain parts of the game, calling what they know well AND possibly being optimized by crowdsouring. This is why it pains me sometimes to watch the ISU women. The amount of physical play and non-calls is so over the top that it is like rugby when it starts out that way and the officials then lose control. I’d be embarrassed to be the Big 12 AD and have to defend this officiating.
How is it done? What would the expense be? Think about what they have to do now and what kind of a product we are getting and stop being obstinent and get the technology involved. I'm sitting 300 miles away and I can see an obvious travel 10X better than the official concentrating on the play 10 feet from them.
