You do love your straw men, that's not what I've ever been arguing.

The committee may very well do the wrong thing because (as we saw last year with our own seeding) it has a good number of members who can't wrap their heads around the metrics and are pretty simple. That doesn't make Drake one of the best 37 at larges regardless.
So you know alot more than the selection committee? Got it!

So what do you guys think of Drake?

Actually want to say thanks to the people fighting to keep this thread about the entire sport. Watched some of the summit league tourney, Omaha was up like 55-22 at half. They were pushing hard for that first ever NCAA invite.

You've likely figured out you're wrong in arguing the actual resumes, and have now moved on to "well this is what i think the committee will do"
Absolutely not, and shame on you for suggesting this. I've been a staunch supporter of them being one of the 37 or whatever best at large teams for at least 2 weeks now.

So let me try this again. Not only does Drake have the resume right now to be one of the 37 best at-large teasm, but the committee will also recognize this and put them in. There, we've covered both scenarios.

I tend to think the committee isn't all that great, yes, and that a random group of people who do brackets regularly (like those you see compiled on bracketmatrix) would do a better job. They routinely make some pretty terrible decisions.

But speaking of bracketmatrix, its weird that you think i'm out there for this.

If you look at bracketmatrix, drake comes in as a 12 seed in the vast majority of brackets, where the at large pool pretty much ends at the 11 seeds. That's the vast majority of bracket-makers widely saying "drake is worse than any of the current at larges"

I don’t know, I can’t believe nobody here is talking about them!
I mean, in all fairness there's not much left to talk about right now.

The conference regularl season titles are wrapped up. The 1 and 2 seeds look pretty set. ISU looks like a lock at a 3 right now. There won't be much drama in the conference tournaments next week except maybe a couple bid stealers from the A-10 and American.

Other than that all we have is bubble talk unless you are really into the OVC championship game.

I thought they had some dudes when they played ISU.

I forget that Baylor was basically an afterthought for their first 10-15 years of Big 12 play and about their whole existence before that.
