Well said. Agree completely. This represents the correct opinion/view that an Iowa State fan should have. IMHO
It is very good for Iowa State when the Big 12 does good things.
It is not good for Iowa State when Drake or UNI does good things.
I'll get dumbed and disliked for this, but I stand by it; there is a certain vocal minority of Cyclone fans who don't want any other in-state school to have any sort of success, because they think it hurts Iowa State in some way.
Now, being an admitted ISU/UNI dual fan I obviously disagree with this, and I feel it makes an already insecure fanbase look even more insecure and petty.
Just going to write it, as annoying and aggravating as it is, there are reasons why the fanbase out east refers to us as "Little brother."
Local team Southern Illinois Univ Edwardsville heading to the dance for first time. Turned D1 around 2008 and been getting their skulls crushed for years. Then, gained some traction. New coach a few years ago put a pair of scissors above the locker room door. Used them yesterday. Fun story. Not much of that left anymore.

I watched some of that game last night. They were down early, and then just flipped a switch and blew SEMO out in the second half of the second half. Good story, and good for them.
And some pretty passive defense.

I love these kinds of games in March, almost as much as the Big Dance itself. These teams playing in these low major conference championships are teams we could be playing in our first round game, like SDSU last season.

They did make the tournament last year as an 8 or 9 seed. I think he's still safe for now.
