Fuskers in the Crown; Hoks NIT?! :)

It’s comical how bad Lunardi is…he had Nebraska as “first 4 out” and they aren’t going to even make their own conference tournament.

Think Fred is safe for the immediate future with an NCAA berth last year and what currently appears to be NIT this year.

Which is about what Neb has historically peaked at.

The problem is Fred was billed as the guy who would get that program to take the next step up. Regularly make the tournament and have some success. Winning a *single* tournament game is the bar FFS.

NU has enough money they shouldn't settle for mediocrity. Especially with a successful Big East program in your state.

Fred is a worse version of Tim Miles in Lincoln.

This Nebraska team is really the same team rolled out by Miles, Sadler, Collier, Nee.

Fred is under contract for 4 more years though....woof.
2 or 3 years ago Fred took a pay cut and was allowed to coach another year. NU version of the Kmart Blue Light Special.

I'm sure that will change after today.

Even then, Nebby's NET was 57 going into today. Bubble team seemed rosy.

The zone was always rough for Fred I remember. The only time we did okay with the zone was against Baylor in a B12T championship game. Nebraska offense looked lost.

They've been discussing this the last week or so on local sports radio. I'm not sure how a 17-13 team with a 7-12 conference record could be in the discussion. Now that they dropped to 17-14 and 7-13, the discussion is over.

Indiana going after McCollum

Thankful that Prohm had that terrible season so he could be fired

Coaches like Fran that have average results are hard to fire because you can be cursed

For all the giddy arrogant Nebraska fans looking down on poor Iowa St when they hired Fred, thinking top tier basketball was their future, cheers to you on this day

For all this talk about Hoks hiring McCollum...the smart move for Nebraska would be to dump Fred and make McCollum an offer he can't refuse. NIL money won't be a problem for him there.
Has Fred done anything without Otz on his staff? In terms of good seasons?

He had a couple when Ota went to Washington. But those were a lot of Otz recruited players.

I think that if Hoiberg showed any interest in actually recruiting he could be OK.

Nebby radio color guy : “What the fff, what are we doing leaving our man to help out on Harding when he puts it on the floor to drive into the lane!?” Indeed.
