Who did we beat on a Friday evening (I think) when Niang broke his foot? That was a win but felt like a loss due to that situation...that injury took all the fun out of that victory!

Hampton '01 was 8:30pm MT (Boise)

Thank you. I almost @ you because I was sure you would know. Did we lose in the Big 12 tourney that year during the day? Maybe that’s where my head is.

I was at that game and our tickets that night were pretty close to the Iowa State bench. You'll remember that Georges played a minute or two on the broken foot and then went to the locker room. When the trainer came out to talk to Hoiberg, you could just see the blood leave his face. I don't think I've ever seen that actually happen to a person. On the shuttle back to our hotel after the game, all of the Iowa State fans were super excited and hadn't heard how serious the injury was and I was so deeply disappointed.

The game on Sunday vs. North Carolina sure was fun though. One of my best Iowa State memories!

No way. That means it got over late at night. I vividly remember it ending in the afternoon. I could be crazy but it’d but a lot of someone else’s money that it was in the afternoon.
It was late. I buried myself in my buddy's bar stash until the wee hours and it made for a very long day at work on Friday.

Pounded the paint today, everytime Cinci made a run we pounded the rock inside. That action usually doesnt go cold except for last year in S16 against Illinois.

Good info, cool that you have that.

How far back can you go in the history? I know It's possible to go through Wiki to check dates (and hence day of week) (but not tip times), but that's a lot of work. :)

UCLA '97 seems like it was Friday night. MSU '00 was Saturday.

1986 first weekend was Friday (Miami U) and Sunday (U-M), I remember that vividly (and without looking I'm pretty sure NC State S16 was Friday).

A few others I recall but some I'd have to cheat.

You remember them all the same way I do, but I'd be lying if I said I was doing anything other than guessing on NC State.

Edit...the Cincinnati game was a Saturday so UCLA would've been a Thursday night.

One thing CF may consider, possibly a perk of premium is group tele-therapy sessions following any losses or injury news.
