My new wish is that Fran pulls a Pelini and agrees to some lower level coaching job for like $40K a year, and Iowa has to pay the difference.

I thought WVU spent heavily in the portal the last couple of seasons. I think they outbid quite a few schools to get Javan Small. I'm beginning to wonder if Devries is a coach that can only have success if he has superior talent than his competitors.
Was thinking about DeVries yesterday. His team is really injured this year, which was the case every year at Drake. I don't think he had a single year where his best players were injury free heading into the tournament. What is it that all about?

I mean it's been discussed ad nauseam, but we're all assuming it's between DeVries and McCollum right?
Maybe in their minds, but reality points to being whichever low major coach does better than expected next week in the NCAA first round and gets bumped before making a Sweet Sixteen. As is tradition.
