Not exactly sure.
I’m kinda leaning towards wanting Denver right now. If Wisconsin is in Milwaukee tickets will be tight. Weather will be better in Denver. It has a bigger arena, and probably be a little cheaper. A little further drive but other things make it nicer, IMO

so? we have three more Q1 wins. Higher substantially in the NET and KP. You can think A&M is where we are and maybe they are. I personally don't see it.
Did I say I thought Texas A&M should be ahead of Iowa State. Was just pointing out that other teams had key injuries too.

Iowa State has more Q1 wins. Much better in predictive metrics

A&M is a lot better in q1a and better in the performance metrics they committee looks at.

Both teams were affected by injury.

I think Iowa State is ahead due to the performance metrics, but it's close overall.

Has the committee contacted TJ about Lipsey's and Gilbert's availability next week...like they contacted Shayer about Flagg's availability? If not, why? And if yes, they have...does TJ saying they're both available get taken into account to keep us a 3 seed?
Lol I don't even know why the committee is contacting coaches. They will/should absolutely lie to their faces and feel no guilt.

Denver and surrounding area probably has more availability for hotels too even if it's a bit further drive from hotel to the arena. When I went to the game in MKE three years ago hotels were hard to come by.

Denver and the front range can be a good spring breakish trip/destination.

It is supposed to snow here on Tuesday. Should easily be cleared up for Thursday though

I get it man, that's why they are called Q1 and Q1A separately. See my other post above, but every teams Quadrant breakdown will look completely different just moving teams around 5 spots.

Kentucky also lost more games than we did and were blown out in many of their losses. They do have the top end Duke and Tennessee wins though so they probably should be around a 3. I think we are competing more with Wisconsin and Texas A&M.
Kentucky played in one of the best conferences of all time, none of those were bad losses per se and they stacked a whole bunch of really good wins together.

Does the committee only consider the last month or two?
I never said that, are you guys reading my posts?
I said the last 2 months sort of put a damper on what Iowa State did in the 1st half of the season and that other teams that had a far better two month resume caught up to Iowa State making their path to a 3 seed murky.

They were on a path to a one or two seed. The last couple months knocked them down, sure, but they have a good argument for a 3 seed.

Glad you clarified. I interpreted your post in that way, and not that it was intended to give extra weight to past couple of months. I could see how others might read it differently.

3 seed faces a 2 seed in the sweet 16.
4 seed faces a 1 seed in the sweet 16.
I would rather wait longer for the team to reset before playing a top seed.
Agree though if you get a Tennessee or Bama they are 1 seed quality.

Honestly the 1seed I would like to see if we are somewhat close to full strength and a 4 is Houston. Just think we match up well with them.

But if we can get through first 2 rounds and field a somewhat healthy roster ISU can compete with anyone

I agree, they definitely have a good argument based on the entire body of work. We'll find out soon. Personally I think which bracket they end up in and location is more important than seed line.

Palm & Lunardi are both a joke.
Bringing them up as if they know jack or are good at what they do... that's a paddlin'

I feel like Tennessee is a slightly worse version of Houston. Great D but their offense can be real rough. However, with Florida winning Tennessee is likely a 2.

Wait, I thought the committee gave no weight to the conference tournament last year? Are they looking at conference tournaments this year now?
What do you mean? These are some Q1 and Q2 games. By the end of the season they might move 1 or 0 seed lines. They don’t look at them as something special or different, but they are another game or games that might move the needle a little, but we’re like 35 games in, so depending on what teams around you do conference tourney games might move you a seed line or they might not. But no they aren’t looking at them as anything special or different than another game. But when a team ISU is jockeying with to get seeds gets a couple Quad 1 wins and ISU doesn’t, it’s going to matter.

Flight delay 2 hours. So have time to look up stupid stuff.

looking at the rankings of these bracketology guys over last 3-4 years. Seems the top 10 all show ISU as a 3.

Let's hope for the top 10 there are no upsets :)

won't be Wichita. TT and Houston heading there pretty sure

Milwaukee or Denver my guess
I’m sticking with Milwaukee, Wichita, then Denver.

We are in a pretty good spot to be talking about what city we will be a high seed.

Or…we could be looking for a coach and trying to convince ourselves the College Basketball Crown is meaningful.
