All great ideas but it boils down to trust the people involved to do what’s best for the program and Iowa State. On our website you can earmark just for MBB or just email me at [email protected] and I can make sure. And trust me every dollar helps right now with what we are up against.

Imo certainty in the donation or investment works better than trust. People like to know what they’re getting in return. IMO it’s related to why most will spend more at a bar watching ISU and drinking over-priced beer, than they will give to We Will this week.

But many thanks Blum. You have the task of squeezing blood out of a turnip. If Iowa St MBB and FB make it to the other side of this historic disruption without falling off, you’ll have a spot in the lores of Cyclone athletics

DDI - Darian DeVries Indiana

DeVries just not comfortable in black (or dark blue) and gold. I guess. There might be some money involved.

Well it looks like Iowa swung and missed on Devries. In addition, it looks like Indiana was not able to lure it's top choice so they decided to poach Iowa's next coach. Man it must suck to be an Iowa Hawkeyes Men's basketball fan.

I hereby pledge to donate to WeWill an amount equal to what I spend on over-priced (and cheap) beer during the tournament.

People are laughing, but if you are not giving to We Will, the laughs will someday be on ISU.

Those NIL budgets tossed are crazy.
$100 a year from 5000 people is $500,000 makes a difference.

Just want to let you know that the laugh is already on us. Not specifically us, but every school not in the Big 10 or SEC or named Notre Dame.

WV, WV, Texas Tech have much larger NIL for their hoops program. Kansas as well. WV had 5 million lined up for NIL to try and keep Devries.

It appears ISU and Iowa fans for that matter are a "thrifty" bunch

At minimum you need to compete with your peer schools within conference.

I think its pretty obvious if the 7 million a year contract and 10 million NIL are accurate then Iowq got outbid. Plus I think he had a buyout. Iowa can't come close to matching any of that.

I think we'll be entering the age soon where billionaires like Musk will just buy a team for their own pleasure and try to win a championship.
