What are one or two games in your bracket that no one seems to be picking but...

Everyone I know has been hating on North Carolina saying they don’t deserve to be in, and I keep seeing brackets that have us playing SDSU or Ole Miss. I said UNC is going to played pissed off to show they belong in the tournament.

*ahem*
Totally agree and in fact put money on it at -4.5

Aint we smart!

No specific games for me, but no matter how hard I tried, I kept ending up with all four 1-seeds in the Final Four. I don't think Duke will make it, but I couldn't come up with a bracket they couldn't get through.

My Final is Florida v. Houston

An all-1 F4 doesn't happen often (3 times so far, I think, deferring to @HoopsTournament or others for verification). This could be one of the outliers seasons, but as a rule I avoid picking all 1-chalk. I go with two 1's, maybe a 2 or 3, then perhaps a darkhorse below 4 line.

Historically, that might be a decent approach, but even if it is, the challenge is the "who."

Arizona, BYU. Agree the Blue Devitales won't make it, I think Brown being hurt is a bigger deal being overshadowed by Flagg.

I have the same final.

Montana over Wisconsin. Early Thursday game, at elevation in Denver, Wisconsin traveling west and played on Sunday. All the makings of an early upset

Intriguing game is Marquette vs Michigan State in the second round. Marquette gets to play a game in their home city as a 7 seed

I think MSU wins, but it wouldn’t shock me to see Marquette advance

Side note: as a kid, I always thought Marquette University was in Marquette, Michigan

They're in Cleveland.

Almost picked that Louisville over Auburn, but just couldn’t. Saw Auburn go into several tough road environments and completely control the game. Bit of a slide, but think the bring it in tourney.

I have Yale over Texas A&M, although I’m sure others have that one.

If Texas wins the play-in game I think that is an interesting matchup with Illinois in the round of 64.

Probably a Cinderella story somewhere sleeping in the bracket that will surprise us all but I can't put my finger on who that is so my Elite 8 and Final 4 looks pretty chalky.

Louisville to the sweet sixteen. Book it. ACC is overhated, Louisville plays really good defense, and they get Auburn at home. Louisville also is one of the most underseeded teams in the entire tournament, realistically they should be a 4 seed.
I actually took Creighton. A lot of interesting matchups for sure. I have Duke meeting their match early too if I remember correctly against Zona

Duke will make it to the Final Four if they make it out the first weekend because they'll get Flagg back to 100% (just about). I think only Houston, Florida, and maybe one or two others have the horses to run with Duke at full strength

Marquette over MSU. Called that one in the hopes Cam Jones goes off.

We all say that every year too. Meet maluach with equal size too and Flagg on a tough night in the sweet 16 and all bets are off too

I was looking into KenPom ratings and saw that Duke is top 5 in both offense and defense.

Here's the first round upsets I've got:
-Yale over TAMU
-NM over Marquette
-CSU over Memphis
-Utah State over UCLA
-High Point over Purdue
-Liberty over Oregon
-Baylor over Miss State

My only surprises for the sweet 16 are Kansas over St John's to make the sweet 16. I know Kansas wasn't great this year, but they're insanely well coached and Self tends to do well in the tourney most of the time.

I've got ISU only to the sweet 16. Without Gilbert I don't think they will take down Michigan State.
