Way up there
I like Dishon but also feel like he didn't quite give us the ROI you'd want on a guy at his position, when he was good he was good but he was inconsistent. He hinted he might test the waters so this isn't a surprise, I'd take him back but I think it might be good for both parties to play the field a little and see if something else catches their eye. It may also mean one party already has.

I was so pumped for him to be here but not sure he lived up to the hype. He was serviceable and great FT shooter but for how big he is, he is incredibly soft and struggled catching the ball a lot in the post. KU game at home was a highlight imo. Wish him the best, he might be a great fit for the big ten

Might be best for all parties. He's a nice player, but didn't seem to be the best fit for our system. He'll probably get a nice payday elsewhere.

Who was the poster here always begging for minutes for him? It was quite a crusade.

I wish he was coming back, another year in the system, working with Green, he was bound to imporve. And I think he was pretty good for us this year. It was his first year in P4. He produced a lot for the amount of minutes he played.

I'm not singling out Jackson here, but it just seems strange to me that less than 24 hours ago you could be a starter in an NCAA tournament game and then out the door the next day. Makes you wonder how committed some one can be if they know they are leaving. I get it's the reality of how this all works now, but still just seems off. Again, I don't mean to say anything bad about Dishon, he played hard and I thank him for everything he did this year for us.

Jackson did a lot of good things but we need a more athletic big. Someone who is more of a rim protector and can still guard a big away from the basket. This type of player is highly sought after and may be outside our budget but let’s see who TJ and staff can come up with. Another Hassan Ward would be nice.

I don't see it as a matter of commitment (or lack thereof). It is just the way the business works. To wait to go into the portal would only be putting himself at a disadvantage.

Given what we've heard about how open the lines of communication are between this staff and players and where they stand with the program, I would also guess that Dishon has known exactly where he stands for next year, and what next year would likely look like for him if he stayed for some time now.
