Maybe log off the internet and go meet people face to face so that you don't start throwing around false numbers to try to prove your point if you think you're all knowing about dating and incel culture.
You're very charming.

That's part of the problem. If you're single, you shouldn't be spending time online. You should be out meeting people face to face. Incels hang out online all day and complain they can't find a woman.
"According to recent data, 45% of men aged 18–25 have never approached a woman in person (Date Psychology)."

I found this stat insane, I am a pretty average looking guy, but in college I found approaching women i pretty much batted over .500. I think we have a big issue of guys being downright afraid to talk to women and some magically think a girlfriend will appear in front of them. Dating apps suck, most metro areas have single events where you can play kickball with other singles or breweries have meet and greets for young singles.

I think our reliance on online spaces have made a lot of people becoming cold and unable to understand how to talk and interact with each other. being a **** online is easier than being a **** in person.

Appreciate that. CW and I talked last night, it’s a young person’s world these days, maybe it’s time to hand the baton off! This basketball season and now portal just seems like the reactions have been way over the top to everything. I always like seeing feedback to improve so I like engaging to see how we can do better. Always open to suggestions.
You guys are still young and have a lot left in you. Please don't let the vocal negative minority drive you guys out. You guys do a great job, and would be a significant loss to Cyclone athletics to lose you guys. Just know that this Cyclone fan appreciates everything you guys do.

Online culture has spun out of control and as a society, we let the rot set in by not calling things out as they happened. Online is an alternate reality and a lot of these burners/incels don't recognize that.

I don't think you need to hand the baton off. I get what you're saying but honestly I think the collective does a great job with the resources it's given keeping the people we have and allowing the coaches to find people that fit the system.

People are freaking out now because they want the biggest shiniest toy on the market, fit be damned. Which is the dead wrong approach. Come next fall when the football team trots out week 0 and when basketball tips off a few months later and they are both competitive and fun the burners will shut up about NIL and be locked in on what you helped build.

That's why the current generation is having WAY less success with women in college. Well that and a few Cave topics.

Loved the job analogy. Took forever for me to get an job opportunity and even looked at options that I wouldn't have truly been happy with. In the end I got the perfect job for me.

Players will come and go. Coaches will come and go. Fans will come and go. Iowa State is a constant and is here to stay... they will be fine.

Don't let recruits ruin your day.... it's their choice where they want to go. ISU will be fine and will thrive with or without them.

Unplug, relax, put on an ISU hoodie and crack open an Ames Lager. Be thankful you are not a fan of any other schools.... cuz' they are NOT better than ISU!

Yeah I might’ve lucked out. I went to ISU in the mid 2010s. At the time things like a tinder were relatively new and completely devoid of any paid content. At the time, house parties, class, bars, Greek socials, and school clubs was probably still the most common ways of meeting girls.

Telling them to log off and get a hobby is stifling free speech? Telling them to not act like complete jackasses online is stifling free speech?

No it's not. They just meant to get over it or ignore it. Nothing you can do about it, unless you actually are in favor of stifling free speech, which I assume you're not. I don't even go on X unless somebody links something on here that seems interesting (which is rare). X is, and always has been a cesspool.

I’m coming to grips with the fact that it was going to be very difficult to match the talent level of this year’s team with the loss of Curtis and Keshon.
I think the talent level overall in college will go down with the 5th and 6th year covid exception players being gone. College athletics is about to become much younger.

Ignoring the problem over the years is what got us here. The burners need to be shamed until they go away.

1.) I hate that this was even a conversation. You've both done so much for the university, AD, and the fans that I feel like the younger generations don't fully understand what you both do to give us what we have.
2.) "Young person's world" honestly is just a bunch of college kids that need to 1 - calm tf down, 2 - calm tf down, 3 - touch grass, 4 - have actual social skills and act like normal people, 5 - stop with the edge-lord cringe ass posts, 6 - calm tf down, 7 - insertseekhelpmichaeljordangifhere, 8 - calm tf down, 9 - seek a therapist that will give them the correct attention that they need and not "engagement farm", and finally 10 - troll responsibly. You wanna troll, do it right and target only the one you are trolling. Expanding it to personal attacks and other family members is just ridiculous (we grew up with Halo/CoD lobbies in the old Xbox Live 2006-2012 days. Nothing can hurt me)
3.) There might be better ways of doing things for sure that I think we all appreciate you listening to, but most social media has become a cesspool of morons that just say whatever they want in the hopes of going viral or to get the "HA! Gotcha" moment. Even some of their group chats they just copy/paste their posts asking for engagement or that they really don't mean what they are posting, they just want to stir the pot.
