How is jefferson going to to even have time for basketball with all the charity work he's going to have to do to get the new NIL money?

Agree

It's sad because I got excited about ISU sports again because pro sports have gotten out of hand. Now with nil it could or is driving up $s in college.
Agreed. I love ISU athletics but us being decent doesn't improve anything in my life for the most part. It just really doesn't. I don't care that much. Especially as I get older and the realities of life come into play. I come on this board to discuss a lot of other things that ISU athletics too. Being a Cyclone goes beyond athletics.

Aka some donors might have just saved the season?
I don't have that info, but its my assumption. And the decision was apparently made this morning. So a donor worked fast or JJ wanted to shut up the noise.

I thought this was what this forum was for, to get and confirm cyclone information? Didn’t realize you and your tag along friends were the judge and the jury to ban people who post! All I did was simple post something that I heard from a very reliable source, looking to see if anyone else had heard the same information, and guess what, others have confirmed on here they have heard it also! Are you and your bully friends going threaten a ban on them too! Go away!!
If your source is "very reliable" then why are you phrasing everything as a question? Either say this is happening because your source said so or keep it to yourself. If you don't trust your source then why cause all this chaos?

Reliable sources are usually people who just want attention. When I worked for a couple professional teams, gm's would give information on trades or free agents that was not true at all. Usually to find out moles within their own org. If that info gets to the media they know who they can't trust

Where there is smoke there is usually fire though. Especially if it comes from someone who doesn't usually post that kind of stuff. I think I may have been the one that originally posted that I heard that Bevins kid from Creston was transferring and I got hit pretty hard for it. I mean I heard it from his h.s. coaches and friends. I didn't blow the lid on it per say but might have eluded to it before he officially made the announcement. Generally regular posters don't just make stuff up.

I am just seeing this thread for the first time this evening. I read the first few posts from yesterday. It sounded like Jefferson was possibly leaving for more NIL money at another program. I jumped to most current posts and the situation still seems unresolved, but it kind of sort of sounds like he may be staying at ISU after all (?). But, I also feel like a lot of other discussions occurred between page 1 of the posts to page 33. I am not sure I want to dive into all of those discussions.

I'll tell you how it went.
1. Someone heard Jefferson might be leaving for several million annually.
2. The lunatics showed up and called him disloyal if he does.
3. The sane people showed up and told them how the real world works.
4. Then the lunatics came and told all of us that if we don't spend every dollar we make on ISU'd NIL fund we somehow are less of fans and need to get our priorities straight.
5. Sane people responded that our bills and family come first and even if we did have the money we'd probably spend it on matters that actually have an impact on society
6. Here we are.

My prediction: JJ's NIL will be adjusted up and he WILL be a Cyclone.

Yep, he’s got to understand thst he’ll get to showcase his skills here. Up the ante a bit and I think he stays.
That'd be OK. We'll see. I just hate to see a one-year Cyclone favorite go to LSU. They don't seem savory to me. And they are SEC, enough said.

The main lesson I'm taking away from this thread is battle lines are being drawn, much more so than even 3 years ago.

This is a good development, the more people start paying attention to what is actually going on here the better odds of things changing back for the good of the game and society in general.
