That is a crazy amount to give up! I am glad the Vikings didn't do something like that. It should be interesting to see if it works out for the bears.

Orton Sucks... if McDaniels plan is to have him as the starter, he's doomed.

I'm horribly depressed.

The Bears have a history of making horrible first round picks on offense...Wuerfel, Salaam, Benson, Colombo, etc. I don't mind giving them away that much if they can't evaluate the talent correctly.

IMHO, broncos got the better deal in this one if that's what the bears gave up.
edit: thought the 3rd was from chicago to denver. not as bad, but still a lot to give up

at least now i can listen to bears fans talk all summer about winning the super bowl on the radio, going to love that :jimlad: kinda like this guy

now he just needs someone to throw to
Exactly. All the problems get put on QBs shoulders in Chicago but I lost count how many times Orton hit a guy in the numbers and it popped out for an INT. When's the last time Bears had a quality receiving core, or just one for that matter?

yikes ... nothing like mortgaging the francise, he'd better be worth it.

They are going to have to pick up a seriously good receiver to make this trade worth it. Where the Bears were far from having great QB talent the last few years, it wasn't all on the Quarterbacks. Without a move at WR, Hester is the Bears #1.
