I was wondering which school would pick this kid up. #1 ranked 2025 JUCO prospect. Here’s a little info about him…

• 2025 JUCO National Champion - 165
(11-2 against D1/D2 competition)
• 2024 - Redshirted
• 2023 JUCO All-American 3rd - 174
• 2021 USAW Folkstyle Nationals - 8th
• 3X Alabama State Champ

He has a brother who had a very successful true freshman season at Chattanooga. Went in the portal after the 2024 season but then wasn’t on a roster this past season to my knowledge. Could be some more solid depth. He would have 3 years left.

Isaiah Powe
2023-24 (Freshman)

- 25-4 record as a true freshman...NCAA Qualifier...SoCon Champion(141)...SoCon Freshman of the Year...All-SoCon and All-Freshman teams.
- 25-4 Overall | 13-0 Dual | 8-0 SoCon | Dual Scoring: 60-0.
- Seeded 17 at NCAA Championships...1st NCAA Championships for the true freshman...1st true freshman from UTC to qualify since 2012 (Nick Soto).
- Ranked as high as No. 19 (RPI)...undefeated in duals (13-0)...team leader in wins (25), tech falls (7), takedowns (60), bonus points (21-tied w/Boarman) & near falls (28) with 18 of the 4-point variety.
- Averaged scoring 4.62 points per dual match...bonus points in 19 of 25 match wins overall & 11 of 13 duals...team-best 3rd-place finish at Southern Scuffle...3rd at SE Open (Fr/So).
- A.D. Honor Roll.

NCAA qualifier with a 25-4 record and then disappeared?! Interesting, have to think he follows?

I think Isaiah did wrestle for Chatanooga early last season. He was tied with Jesse Mendez until a late TD at the end of the first, then got rolled. He went 0-3 for Chatanooga in duals, then disapeared. I don't think he finished the season with the school.

Looks like he has another brother at Northern Colorado, as well.

So question for those that know. Can Robinson just won a national title at Grandview and he rolled though the bracket. Obviously he got caught up in the gambling stuff. Is he an option anymore? Also maybe he isn’t good enough

I don’t believe he was involved with the gambling stuff. He was just low on the depth chart and went in the portal, ended up at GV. He’ll stay there for his last year of eligibility if imagine.

If we are going to pull from JuCo's is there one in Dagestan, Russia?
No, but Fort Hays Tech had three guys from Cuba that are looking for a spot after their coach left. Jeisser Sanchez was JUCO runner up at heavyweight and Lazaro Crespo was JUCO champ at 184. Ames should always have room for a few more cuban wrestlers!
