Who will be there tonight in Okoboji????? I have never been to one because it is always the last week of school & am usually exhausted, but I decided this is the year I am going! So excited.....hoping to remind HCMC that he walked out of Applebee's a few years ago & signed the bike I won from the AD. He was just finishing the show up & I asked if he would & he graciously came out.
New football one. And I think I saw the 11 win one from this winter.
Dresser had all the AAs with him today, Bastian and the transfer are big guys up close. Coach Dresser seems really happy with the upcoming season, he was disappointed with last yrs injuries but I told him if you follow wrestling a little you knew injuries hurt a bunch. Thanked him for bringing back ISU wrestling.
Also learned Humboldt Co. buys the 2nd most season wrestling tkts in the state. I thought that was pretty remarkable.

Also, on an extremely odd note, met up with Rylan Barnes' parents afterwards and they asked me how I was doing.
For some reason I had had Rylan's name in my head since he started at Iowa State.
Then when his parents and I were talking it really came to me like a shot - I had taught Rylan Taekwondo when he was younger. What a great young man and family!
I had a great time in Okoboji the other night! It was worth the drive up from Storm Lake. I was able to talk a/ both THO & MC as well as KD, JP & JW. Even if I only see JP 3-4 times a year he always remembers my name! It was fun talking with John Walters & was able to talk w/ BF as well. Cooper Ebel & family we’re there as well. It was a great night. Of course when my name appeared up on the video display as the winner of the Cyclone Club drawing, that helped. I won a Yeti cooler packed with great stuff. The highlight was one of the Tyrese bobble heads!
Coach MC didn't make it to CB last night, daughter was at state track meet. AD JP told him his priorities were with his family, and I agree. TJ signed autographs and had pictures for at least an hour. Must have been over 200 kids there for the Rocco shirts.
Those 2 signed over an hour at Okoboji. JP said that it was the largest one yet at close to 700 people attending. Lots of Ames Lager was flowing too!
