Announcers just now...."The Cardinals have just as good of a chance of playing in October as anyone in the NL".......do they really?

Cards laughably let Mozeliak take a year long tour as a “retirement” gift from ownership instead of firing him at the end of last season. Fans saw the hand writing on the wall and the players have too, it’s dismal. If Cubs keep this type of offense going at Wrigley, they have a shot.

I’ll be the fun hater but not a fan of pitching a position player ever when you have the lead.

Most probably don't care but guessing Cardinals didn't like that very much either. Guessing they feel like Cubs are rubbing their nose in it.

I kind of understood it when the idea was to throw away the 2025 season so the new guy isn’t immediately hated by the fan base. But they couldn’t even do that right and are built to be in mid-tier purgatory for awhile unless they sell big this deadline.
