He played in the NFL in the '90s. Of course he used steroids. The blood clots being mentioned is not good. Clotting is very much associated with PEDs and steroids. Not saying Sanders dabbled in those, but something to ponder.

Deion brings a shitton of eyeballs. That’s undeniable.
We already have aranda.
Was there a more televised B12 team, on top tier networks, than CU? Heisman winner from the B12? Love him or hate him, he brought star power to a league without a true blue blood.Actually we have no idea if that will end up being true.

But we don’t know if that is or was sustainable.
I'm guessing if it weren't for his sons, he would have quit a year or two ago. I'm also guessing something has come up recently, or he would have just retired at the end of last season, rather than wait until now. It's also possible he may announce he's taking a leave of absence, and plans to return in a year.Had an epiphany about this last night. Of course we don’t know yet if or why he’s leaving…
My gut was saying, “of course he’s leaving once his sons are done, as many would expect.”
However, we know he’s had medical issues. I’ve reframed my perspective to, “what if he should’ve quit for medical reasons a while ago but stayed on to coach his sons in their senior year?” Idk helps me feel less cynical I guess
Why?I'm expecting him to step down, coach from the box, or leave of absence. If the press conference is to say he is fine and ready to go, that will be a bad look.
A special press conference with a medical team seems completely un-necessary. He could just make a comment during the opening of a regularly scheduled press conference saying he's been dealing with a health issue and he is ready to go.Why?
There's been a ton of speculation, and my guess is the point of this is to give some clarity about what he's doing and why. No matter what the actual news is, I can't see how it's a bad look.
I'd be shocked if this is the case, but If the big news is "I'm good to go" then holding a special press conference and teasing it for 2 days seems like oh everyone pay attention to me, which I understand is very Deion but still. Why?

Wonder if his health status is being used against him in recruiting and he wants the Doctors there to clear it up? If he's truly "good to go" then not sure what the other reason would be to have the Doctors there.I'd be shocked if this is the case, but If the big news is "I'm good to go" then holding a special press conference and teasing it for 2 days seems like oh everyone pay attention to me, which I understand is very Deion but still.
I think it's more likely he's dealing with something quite serious and something maybe major is changing.

I think that’s more likely, I just don’t think a positive news presser is a bad look.I'd be shocked if this is the case, but If the big news is "I'm good to go" then holding a special press conference and teasing it for 2 days seems like oh everyone pay attention to me, which I understand is very Deion but still.

Most likely the medical team is there to field questions that he can’t answer about his condition or treatment. If they are just there as props or to nod along in the background then yes I totally agreeA special press conference with a medical team seems completely un-necessary. He could just make a comment during the opening of a regularly scheduled press conference saying he's been dealing with a health issue and he is ready to go.
