Pretty much a catch 22 there.
Grice really came on at 133 I’d hate to lose a quality option there.
Guys who could've made the cut to 125: Meza, Grice, and maybe Pearson? Meza and Perryman are losing out on huge opportunities now to be the man. At the very least battle just 1 other guy for the spot and have some dual opportunities.
Jake knight still want to come to ISU and make the cut to 125? Witt from NDSU? Right now I'd say the only one will be Vandermark.
Also in a positive note about incoming freshman, a hidden gem is coming in for us is Jake Miller. That kid pretty tough and can continue to develop.
I know that this is a surprise to all of us, but certainly the staff wasn't as caught off guard and probably has a plan in motion already?
I wouldn't say that. He's good, but lost to the Nebraska kid at nationals and big10's both. Nebraska kid got majored by Provo and Dean Peterson at nationals. Smith would work and there aren't many options, but I wouldn't be expecting an AA contender there
That’s fair, and “home run” was relative to the current situation and getting someone with 3 years left.
He had wins over Sotelo, Volk, Moore. Feels like some potential from a freshman.

Hypothetical, because it most likely won't happen, but high school studs who could come in right away and go: Rocklin Zinkin okst commit, Mills ohio state commit, Munaretto ohio state commit, Mason Jakob is really good west virgina commit, Deputy nc state commit. Isaiah jones little rock commit isn't bad either.
