Since there is little to go off of for production as far as college, I have linked all of our current RB room's (Senior Year/Most Recent) highlights from HUDL. While a lot has changed, it's really cool to see their different play styles in action. I'm sure a lot have already seen these highlights, but with spring ball leaving more questions than answers, it might help to see them all in one place.

Feel free to comment your thoughts. I tried to keep notes short and free of cons since they were high schoolers and outside of raw talent a lot has changed.

I like Francois, he's definitely a straight-line speedster with good hands. It does look like he has a tougher time with big cuts, but he's big and fast enough to make guys miss. If he continues to grow though I would absolutely love him at WR with a good QB. He kind of reminds me of a shorter Hakeem Butler in space.

Here's his Hudl - Highlights

I spent way too much time on this but I don't really care. I love Dynasty Fantasy Football and "scouting" the NFL draft picks for fantasy purposes. So I figured it would be fun to do that same here.

Salahadin Allah really pops on his reel. I know its high school, but he has really good pad level and vision. But his ability to move laterally around the Oline and reset to the hole stands out. The concern there would be if he dances too much laterally and ends up not getting anything. Wish I could find some clips from him at Oregon St.

Ryver Peppers is probably the second most one I was impressed by. He has a great ability to read and cut to the hole, while moving vertically up the field. I also thought he did a great job handling the second level of defense. It wasn't just using speed and power but utilizing his leverage and blocking which translates to different competition levels.

Flora's just makes me laugh. So much of it feels like "why do I need to set up blocks, I'm faster than these guys". He hits the holes the Oline makes, but what separates OK from Good & Great RBs are those who can manipulate the defense and make those blocks easier for the OLine. One of my favorite RBs coming out of college (that didn't go to Iowa State) was Achane for this reason. He would push like he was going outside and then cut back underneath the lineman once the LB committed, leaving an easier block and a wide open hole. If Flora can develop that type of relationship with the line look out.

Jayden Jackson is really hard to get a good read on from that offense. He has some moments that really pop, but so much of that seemed like essentially fullback dive or sweep, that's hard to tell how good he is at a lot of the stuff I like to look for when watching RBs.

Pettway is similar, just because so much of his was receiving.

Easton Miller runs really upright through holes, which bothers me but dude delivers blows at the point of contact. Just ask that poor USD cornerback from last year.

Francois I thought looked a lot better reading the play (seeing the hole and setting up blocks) when he was QB than RB. He still did have a few plays that made me go woah.

I found a few runs by Salahadin Allah from his freshman year. They start at about the 2:12 mark. It is not much, but I like his running style. Not sure if he is injured or what, but I think he could help us this fall.
