Donovan Davis announced on May 6th that he committed to the Cyclones!!!

With better hands as a freshman.
Yeah, it took Melvin a few years to get over that. I'm as excited about his passing ability as anything else. If he can gain some weight to warrant double teams, he's capable of finding the 3-pt. shooters.

@NorthCyd

I had a sleepover with my friends and my brothers' friends when I was a teenager. You know, the standard sort of stuff at the time... lotta Halo multiplayer with a side of Pokémon Stadium.

Eventually late we all went to bed and went home the next morning.

A few weeks later, my father is furious at me and my brother for PPVing (for like $2.99, the Boomer was strong with that one) a film called something like Naughty Nightcall Nurses.

We were confused and denied it strenuously. Neither of us would have done anything so easy to catch. But we checked the date. It corresponded with the sleepover. We thought to ourselves...

OH **** JUSTIN WENT TO BED AN HOUR AFTER EVERYBODY ELSE!!!

Of course we told EVERYBODY. And he, to his credit, apologized and reimbursed us.

But we never let him live it down.

:)

Milan getting to "retire" as a Cyclone and carry the cardinal and gold banner into the NBA is a million times better than him coming back to school as a mercenary in other colors.

Yeah having him back next year leading the charge would be great but can't fault the young man for leaving a year early to pursue his dream, compete at this highest level, and make a pile of money.

That way, he's still always and forever one of "us."

But if he goes somewhere else then... yeah a good thing becomes awkward.
