2 - Big 12 (TTU, OKST)
2 - ACC (FSU, DUKE)

Bummed that we had a decent season but we didn't fair as well this year during conference play as we did last year. Felt like other than a few head scratchers, we didn't have as many bad noncon losses this year but we had so many chances to win a series (Arizona, Oklahoma State, and Kansas series were all winnable) and I felt like that is what cost us.

RPI is basically what gets you in the tournament and ours was too low. All that said, I love this tournament and can't wait to watch some really good softball.

Texas Tech got a tough draw for a potential Supers matchup with Florida.

South Dakota must have improved quite a bit as Kirkwood (Juco D2) beat them in Fall ball.
From my experience watching my daughters school fall ball means very little to D1 teams. The games are usually 10 innings. They'll pitch every kid on their roster an inning or 2. Sometimes you might see their best pitchers start the game, sometimes they'll only pitch an inning late in the game, or may not pitch at all. The position players may be the starters to start the game and only play 4 or 5 innings before the rest of the roster plays the remaining of the game. Usually the substitution rules are unlimited, kids coming and going every inning. I've even seen them put base runners on to start an inning and work on situations. Now saying that I have no idea how South Dakota does their fall ball games.
If the DI team is playing another D1 team then its more like a real game, but still free substitution.

I was about to say. Until you wrote the final sentence I was wondering if you were talking about travel ball or something. I can't remember a single fall ball game my daughter played that was anything other than a regulation softball game. Maybe things are different below D1.

Sorry. I should have clarified that when my daughters D1 team played a D2, or JUCO team it was far from a regulation game.
