Take out the stupid song and dance number and I didn't hate it. I've probably rewatched it more times than Quantumania.
Yeah, that dance number was really stupid

Hulu was originally a 4-way venture between Fox, Disney, NBCUniversal, and maybe Time-Warner. used to be one of the better deals for watching next day live air shows on 3 of the 4 major broadcast networks. You used to be able to watch a ton of stuff for free too, but they moved the free option for next day stuff to 8 days after air date. In fact, that was the whole reason I ended up subscribing years ago.
I missed an episode of Agents of SHIELD during season 1 right about the time Winter Soldier was released, and that was the one time the show was heavily affected by movie events. I don't think I even went to Winter Solider in the theater, so I delayed watching the end of S1 until Winter Solider released for home video. Didn't want to have that for S2, so I paid for Hulu. The connection between the AoS and the greater MCU lessened over time, and I only remember one direct tie-in to Age of Ultron and something with the opening of Infinity War.
Over time, Disney acquired the whole thing by acquiring Fox and buying out the other two. It is supposed to fully merge into Disney+ either later this year or early next and discontinue the Hulu standalone app. Just this last week I was given the option to merge my Hulu queue and continue watching onto my D+ account, so the merger is coming.
I'd put S4 right up there with the best of the stuff in the MCU.Agents of Shield was all over the board on quality throughout its seasons, but it was pretty darn good when it was good. Loved how much it tied in to the movies early on and lamented it navigating away from that it in the later seasons.
As a follow-up to this post above, I actually just received a second round survey of Marvel characters to see my thoughts on for being a part of an upcoming Disney+ series. I didn't expect this second round of questions, as I don't remember a second round the previous time I had taken a similar survey years ago. With that said, I'm noting down ALL characters on this one as I'm taking it so I don't miss anyone. Here is the new rundown of characters they want to hear my thoughts on:
Rick Mason - Black Widow (her arms and equipment supplier)
Kingo - Eternals
Reed Richards - Fantastic Four
M'Baku - Black Panther
Everett Ross - Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Cloak and Dagger - Old MarvelTV series (Interesting the consideration of an old MarvelTV property)
Maya Lopez - Echo
Clint Barton - Hawkeye
Bucky Barnes - Thunderbolts
Morgan Stark - Avengers Endgame
Titania - She-Hulk
Ajak - Eternals
Toussaint - Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (T'Challa's son)
Thena - Eternals
The most notable one is potentially reviving an old Marvel TV property with Cloak and Dagger. That was just an ok series, but I found the characters compelling. I remember the first survey I filled out a few years ago had Quake in it from Agents of Shield, who still keeps being rumored to pop up in something at some point. The only two characters on this current list I have zero interest in seeing again is Maya Lopez and Titania. I very much disliked both those characters. I'm trying to forget series like Echo, She-Hulk and Ironheart every happened at this point.
As for who I want to see, sure, Reed Richards, Bucky Barnes, Gamora and Clint Barton are some of my favorite characters in the MCU, but I still lean more movies for those characters. They give you a chance in the survey do select what they would be a best fit for - live-action series, animated series, or movie. As for the most compelling Disney+ series, is it weird to think that a Kingo show could be really compelling and fun? While I didn't love the Eternals movies, I did love his character and back-story. I feel there is a lot of compelling stories to tell there in the past.
Simon Williams. Mephisto (SBC!), and Baron Zemo. Please and thank you.Wow, I just got a round 3 of these questions about thoughts on characters for upcoming series/films whether it be movie, live action, or animated series. This next group is quite the interesting mix all across the board. I've never had them probe me three different rounds on characters before. With that said, here are the following characters they are quizzing me on in this round.
Nova Corps (Guardians of the Galaxy)
Mephisto (Ironheart)
Pip The Troll (Eternals)
Doctor Doom (Fantastic Four)
Bill Foster (Ant-Man and the Wasp)
Parker Robbins - The Hood (Ironheart)
Shuri (Black Panther)
Leonard Samson (The Incredible Hulk)
Nick Fury (Everything)
Groot (Guardians of the Galaxy)
Simon Williams - Wonder Man (Wonder Man)
Xu Xialing (Shang Chi)
Wilson Fisk (Daredevil)
Grandmaster (Thor: Ragnarok)
Baron Zemo (Captain America: Civil War)
Based on the lineup, combined with the previous two lineups, it tells me Marvel is really probing and probably has no clue on where to go next. Like Leonard Samson.... really???? Love the actor and his character was decent, but does most people even remember who he is? There is always a few headscratchers on every list. My guess is the Nova Corp question is probing about people's interest in a Nova series. One thing they don't do really is ask my thoughts on certain new characters audiences haven't seen before, but they try different ways like throwing Nova Corps on there to get around it. I wish they would just throw some new characters on there and see our thoughts. Feel free to throw in your thoughts on seeing more of anyone on this list.
